Are those sick new smith goggles worth it?

I've got some nfx2s and they're aight, on stormier pow days it's hard as shit to perceive the terrain but asides from that they're aight.

Are these sick new goggles coming out worth getting?

I'm a big fan of the 4D, but that's mostly because I'm usually wearing a pack and shooting pics when I'm out skiing, so the downward field of view you gain with the 4D makes a big deal when messing with pack straps, camera gear, etc. But from my experience, that's the main benefit, so not a whole lot of reason to drop a bunch of dough on them if you're content with the field of view of the Nfx2.

i'm no goggle expert but it sounds like you're more interested in a state of the art lens for seeing well? in which case my first thought is oakley's Prism lenses (cause i'm an Oakley whore)

I did a comparison with a Line Miner, a Flight Deck, a Squad XL, and I/O Mag, and a 4D. The 4D definitely has a larger FOV but it’s all at the bottom of your vision.

The BirdEye Vision is the curving of the lens at the bottom to "increase view by 25%" but how often do i need to look in that direction. Seems gimmicky to me. The I/O Mag is enough. Save your money.

Agree with the others on here and it sounds like you just need different “low light conditions” lenses for your existing goggles. Yellow works great for the conditions you’re describing.

The dragon PXV is still far superior for peripheral. The 4D is only better for downward vision.
