Worst soundtrack to a full length ski video ever?

for me it comes down eye trip. The link below shows ahmets, wallishes, and harlauts parts from eye trip. Ahmets song was fine, but listen to the songs on wallys and harlauts parts. They have most retarded melodies i think ive ever heard and it ruined the whole movie for me. Bermans song choice was great all the way through refresh, but got hit or miss in the years since imo.

Loved Ahmet's song here and the first song of Wallisch's. Once I realized it was the clean version for Bdog, all I could hear was the gaps where there should be swears

Honesty, I didn't mind the eye trip soundtrack. I agree it had some strange songs, but it certainly didn't ruin the movie for me like you mention. Back when I first saw eye trip I thought the song in wallisch's segment was awesome, however I do agree that henriks song was wack.

I guess my point is, any song that I hear for the first time while watching a ski movie will almost always be a song I like, because It's 100% associated with skiing in my mind.

That "Mixing Up the medicine" track on Grand Bizarre for Sammy Carlson's edit was really bad. It really ruins the vibe the rest of the movie built up, especially being the closing shot.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I'm actually a fan of that soundtrack. Yeah it's a bunch of shitty dubstep, but I think it fits with the content of the movie which is mostly a bunch of massive dubs into pow, some really face-melting shit. Would never listen to that kind of music on its own though. Also the song for JPs seg is tight

I thought dubstep was the sickest shit when I first heard it. Now all these songs are skips for me, but they do bring me some great nostalgia. Also "Coastin" is still on my ski playlist haha

It was aired on tv so they couldn't use anything explicit.

Most level 1 movies after refresh had really awful music, copyrights exist so most of them cant have all the bangers we want.

Also, Ruin and Rose has a retarded soundtrack but it actually worked well with the retarded concept. TGR has had exquisitely bad soundtracks for the past decade, basically copyright-compliant music that always reminds me of YouTube circa 2011.

This is a harder question than asking which movie has the best soundtrack. Most ski movie soundtracks are either bland, cringey, or both. It’s hard to edit something that appeals to boomer ski dads as well as teenagers.

That being said Revolver is especially painful to listen to. That movie could have been so much better with a different soundtrack.


My favorite soundtracks are Ten and Two and Mutiny. I miss Stept

Yes!! STEPT easily had the best soundtracks. I liked legitimately every song in 86 and how they'd blend classical sounds and ambient noise (like Braids during Noahs seg) and then fire up some bangers for Shea (Kendrick) the songs always fit the mood of the seg and make sense for the riders personailty.

I'd love for them to make a full length again, but they're wayyyy to successful in the commercial realm now. I honestly image seeing what Stept has transformed into was a major factor in Level 1 moving the same direction.

Agreed. Same goes for Blank Collective's films IMO. Both of those companies put out really cool content with great skiing and solid filming, but it always seems to be lacking much personality / soul, part of which I'd chock up to the soundtracks.

On the flipside, I always love the music in Faction's videos.

Where did you watch it on? On YouTube I know that at least 1 track (Andorra lil Wayne) was replaced with some really shitty filler music that kinda ruined the segment.

Think youtube. It was the final segment that got me most where he was building all those crazy jumps. It had some horribly corny song that really didn't seem like anything henrik would fuck with.

My man you need to rewatch that segment on NS, it gets me super hyped to ski and it’s something Henrik definitely fucks with.
