X Games real ski 2020 hype/predictions

Street skiing is my favorite and I’ve spent the last 6 months day dreaming about the spots around my city. Now that the temps are dropping I can’t help but escalate my thoughts. One of the cooler things each season as far as street skiing goes is the X Games Realski video contest.

The last two years gold has been claimed by b-dog. Because first place gets an invite to return I imagine he’ll be participating again this year. I believe the fan favorite winner also gets a return invite so that mean we can expect Jake Mageau aka Mango to give it another go.

this leaves 4 spots open. Who do you guys think will get them? Will French Canadians continue to reign as the best street skiers. Will Scandinavia or an east coaster claim the top spot. All I know is it could be just bdog and mango and I’d be hyped for it.

Tough to figure between Mango and Hackel for a top spot, personally loved Sam's part. Especially as an alternate yeah? Dude should get a medal just for that slam

My fan vote is going to hackel, I loved all of them, this was insanely competitive.

Look at some of the details though, hackel had that little extra in his tricks. Gap over the wall to the wallride on that switch rodeo, and i mean who the fuck switch rodeos onto a wall in the first place.

Right 270 in to that insane rail, plenty of others did crazy spins in but he did one of the most impressive spins on in the contest and he did it unnatural, he also went left foot to left foot on that gap to dub kink.

Casual peanut butter 9 in a line...

Also, try to find a moment when Hackel loses composure, I am yet to find it and if you do please let me know, the style and execution was insanely mature.

Love mangos to death, his gets my number 2 and he had some totally wild tricks in there. Just for me the little details in Hackels did it for me.

Bmile also so fucked, and Zahner definitely stood out....

I feel this a lot. Im unsure on the top 2. Mango brought the heat but so did hackle and I really liked hackles edit the best.

Imagine if Zahner had the full time to put together his part/ and was healthy while shooting it.... he takes an easy third for me this year though

Last year Mageau had the tricks but lacked the burly hits that pucker you up just watching them.. the year he had both. He's top 2 no doubt and likely the best. Hackle and Bergeron clearly round out the top 3. I can't decide the order. They're all so damned good.

Am I the only one who thought Noah's was fire? The tricks weren't insanely technical but he had arguably the best steeze out of all the edits

Yeah good point, imho he had the best steeze and and flow, all it really lacked was the "holy shit" factor some of the others had. By all means a stellar 90 seconds of skiing

I get mango had crazy tricks, but the edit seemed focused on just stacking bangers and stitching them together than making a cohesive, beautiful edit, which i think hackel, zahner, and bmile killed

9pm PT and it looks like the only ways to watch if you don't have cable is through a streaming service like Hulu, Sling, or Youtube TV.

Everyone had such fire edits, nomatter the podium order there would have been arguements made. Bmile went hard and huge with plenty of style. Not saying hackel didn't, but I think magnitude was better received than tech.

Judges nailed it. Mageau seemed an easy #1. 2 and 3 could have gone either way, but they went with massive hits over creativity and that's fine by me.
