bentchets303i got wide feet at the shoe place specifically D width I guess haha and need to see what are the best boots you’ve had for wider feet. I’ve been going through different boots for like 6 seasons now and just not having it
CabbyArrantPlease go to a bootfitter. Theres so much we can do to accommodate a wide foot. Please dont order boots online.
bentchets303I’ve gotten my last 3 pairs at shops one was custom moldable salomons even the shell molded... so I’m hesitant about buying a 4th the same route
bentchets303I’ve been to boot fitters before we jabber down tthat road and will again but I probably won’t be buying in shop boots at 600 right now I have other gear o need as well but I’m seeing the markets and then I can browse for past year models I’ve been to evo in Denver which was definitely better than christy and another local place as well but that’s only as good as what’s currently in stock and I just got my pass last night haha
HangryI’ve found working in a shop and from having wide feet that Dalbello generally fits well with wide feet (minus the Lupo Ax). That being said, any boot can be relatively punched out at

finderwym minus Lupo ax? Dalbellos are notorious for narrow (98mm) boots, and they finally made 100mm variants. Had my AX's punched out quite a bit and have had no issues.

animatorThe Lupo ax is wider than the standard Lupo shell so how does that work
chef_boyardeeatomic hawx magna. after having them heat-molded they fit my wide feet perfectly, i would recommend them

HangryAgain, I honestly don’t know. It’s just what we were finding on foot with the AX. I don’t have any experience with the standard Lupo, shop only had the ax for the Lupo “line.” Just an observation given the 12-15 pairs we sold last season

NightFantasiesKeep in mind the AX is a 100mm last boot, so comparatively to other models like the Panterra that clocks in at 102mm its a relatively standard boot in terms of width. The thing that sets Dalbello apart from the other guys out there is the lack of taper in the toe box, meaning that if someone has a relatively wide but boxy foot (like a lot of asian dudes who have duck feet) it's going to fit great since the max width of the boot sustains pretty much to the end of the toe box.
I wouldn't consider the Lupo AX to be a wide boot, it's pretty standard in last... but in the current AT/crossover market there isn't a single boot available in 102mm last. Homeboy with a 106mm 26.5 foot who needs a touring boot is NOT going to fit into anything out of the box, and while the Lupo isn't wide to start the plastic holds a punch pretty well so working out the toe box is no biggie.
To answer OP's question:
Go see a boot fitter, asking people on NS "what's a good wide boot" is literally taking a shot in the dark.. there's no other way to put it. I understand you've had bad experiences in the past, and no boot fitter out there is going to get it right 100% of the time but if you go to the right shop they will be willing to work with you until something works.
SavageBiffI think a lot of people feel better getting some starting advice from fellow skiers , we live in a world where a boot fitter to a new skier may only appear as a salesman and they just need someone to say hey , go see a boot fitter but learn the difference between a shitty fitter and good one
