Sunshine vs Lake Louise vs Norquay

Just moved to Banff, got a Big3 pass so I have unlimited skiing at all three.

What hills are best for what? I.e. who has the best parks, who has the best cliffs, who has the best tree skiing, who's going to be quietest during the busy season, etc?

Sunshine for park, Lake Louise for all mountain and Norquay for night skiing. When its busy its busy.. lake is a bit more quiet id say, especially midweek. Lake still has a dope park, shine has all the crews mobbing though. 15 cm at shine is comparable to 8cm at lake, get to lake if its snowing. Enjoy the season homie!

this guy knows. i skied sunshine all last winter and had a really fun time in the park and on their playful terrain. they have a much longer lasting season too which is super fun throughout april and may when school is out. otherwise louise is a proper SKI hill. so much sweet terrain and much longer runs. the DRIVE is longer too louise but most will tell you that its worth it. norquay uuuuhhhh if youre cheap and dont like crowded powder days

Keep in mind Sunshine is 17 min drive an 17 min gondy, lake is 38 drive to lift at speed limit. So its the same commute

Definitely visit Pano over the busier periods, ghost town over there. Admittedly powder days aren't exactly common compared to Sunshine or Lake, but when they come they're amazing and fresh lines can be found for the next week.

Lake Louise is great, Norquay is significantly smaller than the other two and I've never skiied at SSV.

Revelstoke is just "down the road" but Sunshine village is pretty tight, in my opinion

Planning to make it to Revy at least once this winter (and Kicking Horse too) but 3 hours is a bit too much for every day skiing

Thisis all very accurate. He didn't really mention cliffs, there aren't really too many at sunshine, most of the landings are quite flat. There are more at the Lake. Keep in mind that this is the Canadian rockies. In the early season, landings aren't the safest and will have unseen rocks. Have fun in town.
