On this note, I'm looking for somewhere in London to get a binding mounted on a ~100mm ski, has anyone got any suggestions? I've heard Ski Bartlett out west are good, but that's a 3.5 hour round trip, so I'd rather not if possible.

I know Ellis Brigham in Covent Garden do mounts as well, anyone got any experience getting it done there? Otherwise I'll just wait and get my ski-tech mate to do it when I'm in resort, but I'd prefer to have it ready to go asap rather than rely on him being around and having time.

Ski Bartlett is awesome, they recently just won some kind of shop of the year award. That does sound like a big trip just for a mount though and EB has definitely stepped up their game in recent years. I'm sure if you call up your local EB and talk to the shop techs that you either be convinced that they're ok or that you should drive to Bartlett's.

Yeah I'd love to give them the custom as well, but I don't have a car so I'd be schlepping out on the train which is grim.

I think I'll maybe go in and speak to them, I stumbled across that thread where the NZ shop mounted a dude's skis backwards and now I'm paranoid. Or I'll just wait and get my friend to do it. Don't suppose you know anything about Nix Snowsport up north?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Snowsport. But, you should ALWAYS put tape on the ski and mark the mounting point where you want it and mark the tips & tails. The more specific you can be, the less chance there is for error.

Last time Ellis Brigham mounted a ski for me, the binding ripped out halfway through the season, turns out they only screwed them in and didn't epoxy... +1 vote for Ski Bartlett for sure. Or maybe get the guys at Snow & Rock Hemel Hempstead to do it as I know most of those kids ride at the dome so should know what they're doing...
