stl topsheets

So my new stl's just arrived, I'm wondering about the topsheets, they seem kinda fragile. How do they hold up?

they rip up at the edges, but that just gives the skis charicture

It's just chipping, take care of them and you won't see it. Besides that, it's only cosmetic.

^ yeah, but as some other kid said.... its generally just cosmetic. it shouldn't affect the ski at all, other than looks.

stl's are super durable. the topsheets are average but the edges and bases are super strong

^that's what i wanted to hear. I had a feeling the p-tex side walls would lead to increased topsheet chipping because there is a sharp, brittle edge. But glad to hear about the bases and edges, they look pretty solid.

exactly, my edges are perfect going on 50 days on the snow, same with the bases.

yeah, oneof my buddies has a pair and all he does is rails every day. his edges are definetly rounded off and worn, but i was super surprised that there were absolutely no cracks or anything. definetly durable
