Be sure to dress aggressively, maybe some all black clothing and use swords instead ski poles and always swear at the rail when grinding, that should be aggressive enough..?

Yeah I remember him doing a "fishbrain" in SLVSH but he's just abusing the fact that it's a double rail, I guess it's a makio but like an actual makio would be one foot on a rail
I dont know the best way to explain it but it would be wild to see somebody do a "negative makio", like on a handrail fixed to a ledge not much taller, so you can jump up and instead of creeper-ing the rail with the ski closest (i.e rail on left, creeper-ing with left ski) creeper with the further away ski (i.e. creeper-ing with right ski on rail on left, with left ski held above the ledge).

skis don't have grind plates so I very much disagree with you saying he's abusing the fact that it's a shotgun rail, that trick is still pretty hard actually. Magnus did some on a skinnier tube in his last gram post and that's pretty wild.
But shotgun rails allow for easier spins out on 'makios' like 180s and 360s, still waiting for that makio 5 out tho
Hmmm it’s been over a minute since I’ve done any Inlining so I don’t remember many inline grind terms.. but there is plenty of crossover between the two if you’re willing to try. I have a some random pictures in my profile/on my insta but I couldn’t put a name to anything other than a broken
If I remember correctly, asian allen just used to cut the cuff of his boot down so he could have a little more wiggle room and that was the extent of his modifications
I’m pretty sure Line used to make a grind plate, I think they called them soul plates but that was way back around the time of the reactor binding
I thought this thread was about aggressive grinds as in 5* edge bevels and stuff like a tgr thread. I don't otherwise know enough about rollerblading to comment.
Edited to correct autocorrect and make sentences coherent.

Yeah reminds me of that one time Henrik did a zero spin 5050 down the wooden stair rail. I'm surprised we don't see more makios in skiing esp on flat bars.
snowmosexualAll my grinds are aggressive cause im always angery
CalumSKIbruh ur knees would really be like

You can't really do inline grinds on skis. No soul plate, h-block and the stiffness of boots makes it nearly impossible. Sure you can do things that almost look similar but in no way are they fundamentally the same. Sure you can do a ski slide and grab a foot and call it a skater trick, but it's not even close to what it would be to locking onto a rail with a soul plate. You can kinda do a royal but boots dont let you flex enough to really do one.
Skiing probably has the ability to have more unique tricks then most other sports. The fact that we have tips and tails like a snowboard, but still have 2 separate things to grab and grind on gives a shit ton of tick possibilities.

We heard it from the man himself, time to pack it up and go home.
would like to try some of them. i don't inline, but would be cool to have some tricks that stand out. gotta do some more knee workouts and get ready to slam
