Depends on if they're creeps or not. Possibly you will get along fine and it will be a blast cuz living with guys is better than a bunch of crazy chicks. On the other hand you could get date raped. 50/50 at this point

I've never used couchsurfers for traveling within the US, but I've used it a bunch while traveling abroad from Germany to Turkey.... and I host people regularly. Make sure they have reviews on their profile and make sure there's female reviews as well

That said, my friend actually met his wife that way. She stayed with him couch surfing and they just clicked and now they’re married.

Somebody bought me a drink. Ended up waking up a few hours later in my room high as fuck snd a bunch of my stuff was gone.

Legit only time I had cash on me for Kilimanjaro because they wouldn't accept last 1k USD via credit card. As shitty as it was I don't think it was a setup or anything.

I had a bit of cash to waste if there is such a thing then but was pretty bummed on my phone getting jacked. Had some sick pictures from the previous few weeks of traveling that I lost. Sucks because it was a galaxy s4. Even in 2016 that was outdated af. I just wanted the memory card honestly.

Passport was hidden away from my other stuff.

I ended up orderinh a bottle of wine because I was fucking pissed about gettting robbed. Lady gave me a bottle of water instead. I argued and insisted on some wine. Had like half a glass and felt like I had snorted a bunch of K. Was walking sideways like the fucking penrose stairs up to my room where I crashed the fuck out occasionally waking up and doing shit for another 2days.

Still rose from the ruphy grave on the 3rd day like jeebus to go hiking and sweat anything else out. Head still felt a little fuzzy day 1 but had a decent hike. Could have bought a disposable camera I guess but was in a shitty mood and not thinking. The 2 people that took pictures of me never sent them.

I stayed in town 1 more night after the hike and got the fuck back to South Africa to my friends. Actually took a sketchy cab thinking "well if this is fucked Ill jump out" but door didn't have latch on inside. Dude didn't kill me and I got back to my friends.

Went back to the states a week ish later.

i couch surfed for a month at a ski hill this last spring and it was all g. just make sure you dont take drinks from strangers etc etc. also keep an eye on all your belongings. since you are going with a few other people you will be fine. just use your brain and if shit seems too good to be true or sketchy get outta there.
