Go ahead, laugh and make fun, I am laughing myself. Found an old picture of my crew and myself skiing Big Sky back in 1989, couple Idaho boys thinking we were cool.lol We had an exchange student in our crew from Japan that ripped and liked to ski with us. I am the one in the pink and it is still one of my favorite colors to this day. Denim was the in thing along with Gators for us Idaho folk. Picture is horrible but it is what we had back in 1989. Getting the stoke for 19’-20’ season!

Wow thats super sick. It must be really cool being all you older guys and watching the whole progression of skiing. Ive only been skiing for a couple years and its even crazy to me how much its changed. Do y’all enjoy watching guys like The Bunch? Whats your take on new-school stuff like that or do you even watch ski edits anymore?

It's all good. Since 1968 a lot has changed. The Bunch? Who's that? ;-)
Love the nostalgic stoke here. I'm only 24 but it still feels a bit surreal looking at old passes from my local hill in MI from when I was little, and then now having passes to some of the most fun places to ski ever. Its a trip. Ready for more though.
11010110Damn I thought skiing for 15 seasons is alot(I started skiing in '04). I'd love to experience what the resorts were like back then!
Resorts have and will keep changing to go with the times. Bigger faster chairs or trams, get more people on the mountain is their thoughts. You will see changes as you get older. I have seen rope tows turn into double/triple chairs, from double/triple chairs to high speed quads or bigger. Lodges burn down, get rebuilt bigger and better. Areas cleared to make more runs for the growing resort. The sport will always be changing and I am glad to be a part of it.

Of course! I dig the new stuff! I may be old but I am not dead!lol I enjoy watching new edits, enjoying watching old edits, anything with skiing in it really! I would like to say I can still ride okay so I do try to incorporate some of the newer tricks in with some of the older ones. I will do some laps in the park, maybe learn something new. I am always down.

I wish I could still kill it! (Even though I never was a killer) I guess I need to find a photo of me skiing 40 years ago. I think I have one. I need to scan or maybe just photo of photo.

What size are those skis, man? Like I have some serious respect for you fellas that were absolutely ripping on narrow 210s back in the day. Legs of fucking steel.

^Thank man. I'm not sure I could even get down the hill on those things now. I think those were 200's . Us mogul skiers used the short skis. Haha. i think i pussed out and dropped down to 195's in the 90's.

You are welcome. I only have a few photos from back in the day. After all we did not have digital or run around with smart phones! There was no such thing as a terrain park back then.
I'm getting stoked for the season. Bachelor will be getting some snow so folks will be doing some hiking this weekend.
I will wait for a chair lift! ;-) Yes, I'm too soft core for hiking!
