Sharks/Knights is turning into such a chippy rivalry, both teams kinda have each others number and especially san jose with that unreal comeback in the playoffs last year. Some good hockey being played so far in the first week of the season.

didn't help Torontos case at all last night having guys like Kapanen, Tavares, and even Matthews whiffing it on some prime opportunities to win it. Crazy game though.


Fuuuck I hope Mantha keeps it up this year, He had some great plays and awesome setups for goals last night, that Bertuzzi one-timer was fuckin sweet. Lets go boys.

Anthony fuckin Mantha....guy had a career-worst +/- last season and overall just tough sledding the entire year until the last portion of the season....comes out swinging this season with 5 goals in two games. He's gonna be a fuckin beast this year if he keeps it up.

Went to the wild game on Saturday against the Kings, Quick can’t follow the puck anymore and everyone from LA seemed slow, wilds backup goalie made some good saves. Wild beat LA 5-1

Their core is just old now, they signed some pretty bad contracts after their cup wins and now those players are aged quite a bit. Quick cant really do much with dogshit Defending in front of him

lol yeah asking a rookie to name off the best and worst players and then getting mad at him is just some weird "i have power over you" bullshit that babcock apparently liked to flex hard on people throughout his career. And yeah, I think like 90% of the team was relieved to see him go.

Hes a good coach but yeah, he ran those lines in a super shitty way. Like hes always been known to give plugs more icetime over star players and high performing lines

This has been the first time I have really noticed how bad the leafs announcers are.

All they do is blow smoke at the leafs and don't mention anything of the other team.

Lets fuckin go, boys. Teams currently having team scrimmages all week, Exhibition games next week, then the round-robin and play-in games for the playoffs. Hockey's back for the summer, even better.

the Kraken seems interesting, its selling the most merch ever out of any expansion team so thats cool to see i guess.

my sisters has a really close friend from childhood whose dad is the biggest wings fan ever and he just sold his house to Todd Bertuzzi this weekend lol, what a trip

Honestly idk man, those first games yesterday were high-scoring and honestly had dogshit reffing so we'll see, it can go either way when its like that. Its taking a minute for teams to settle in but its honestly great hockey being played right now, No crowds for the playoffs suck but its interesting seeing all the players mesh with their linemates and make good plays.


Tkachuck fucked up big time on Schieffle, obviously he went in to make that play along the boards but yeah he could have backed off a little bit as he went in. That was a nasty-looking injury.

I feel like there are so many factors this time around. Based on the pre-tournament games some of the top 8 looked dead in the water.

I wonder what would've happened to Tkachuk if this was 90's hockey. It would've been a lot uglier than 10 second wrestle. Hopefully Scheifele can bounce back whenever he returns, shitty situation for sure.
