Greg_KHad a couple of pairs of the Volkl Revolt 87(when they were called The Wall) as they have been out forever with very little changes over the years. One of the few symmetrical skis still made with full camber(no rocker) out there now. Was a very solid ski that carves and grips well and has a race base so glides very well too. It’s a more serious comp ski like the NFX or Nightstick so not very playful if that’s your preference.
The Prodigy 1.0 would be almost as stiff but lighter, directional sidecut and the addition of rocker. So probably more playful than the Revolt 87 but a little more serious than your current TWs.
Your current TW would be lighter, easier to spin, easier to butter but not as solid as the Revolt 87 would feel.
Had the ARV 86 and wasn’t a fan as I found it too light, too soft and not great on harder snow for my tastes.
Have the Head Framewalls now in that width range which are 84 underfoot and similar to the Revolt 87 but with a touch of rocker, lighter weight but another great ski.
The Head Caddy is the same ski without the 360 degree sidewall so it is lighter and more playful but still very solid ski. The Caddy is a very versatile ski in this width range.
Revolt 95 would be another solid rec if you wanted to stay wider for more all mountain use. Solid underfoot but playful tip/tail and has rocker.
Mike-HuntOkay, so shoulda mentioned im looking for something around 185-190 length so thats why im looking to switch from the tw pros, they were great skis but 178 is too short for me at 6ft 3. Would the prodigy 1.0 be comparable to the tws or what should i consider.
