How important is it to buckle your top boot buckles first and your bottom buckles last?

i hear it all the time from boot shop employees but when i do it right vs doing it wrong i dont feel a difference on the mountain. It all seems to fall into place no matter what order i buckle my boots buckles. Is it important to do it right?

Im on methadone so even if i shot dope with alot of fentanyl in it id be pretty safe.
If i had an inferior enough mind that i couldnt understand how tolerance worked id probably do myself a favor by killing myself.
Im not saying that you should kill yourself mister biffbarf the dea agent, im only saying that if i were you i would kill myself.

i always buckle toes first then work my way up then re-tighten the upper buckle and power strap
racers always say something about it but I dont care

I didn’t even know this was a thing and I grew up in a house full of racers and my dad was a boot fitter for like 15+ years.

I always do the booster strap first lol (and put it under the tongue).

Never understood putting the booster strap under the tongue. I always start with the middle buckle.

you should go from your toe up. you'll get a tighter boot by working with the natural shape of the shell and liner instead of against it.

Top to bottom. Your foot naturally slides all the way to the toe box when you put your boot on, you don't want to lock your foot in that position. Cuff buckles, flex then finger tight on the bottom.

So your ankle joint has the most affect (of lower extremities) while skiing. To properly secure a nice fit, do the ankle buckle first then move your way up the shin and lastly the toe buckles.

I always go middle buckle to sink my heel back then move up and finish with the toe. It truely is an act of love.

I start with the powerstrap up top just to collect the cuff plastic (makes buckling easier). Then i do the second from the top down buckle, then the top buckle. I leave the toes unbuckled for the first lift up and at the top ill tighten the toe buckles and readjust my top buckles and powerstrap (as i had them closed but off by 2 positions)

Like seriously. This place is dead and by making alot of halfway decent threads i might be injecting some life back in this bitch. Obviously if we could call eachother whatever we wanted we would slowly restore ns back to the free speech hangout it used to be. But i still have faith even if we cant say certain words. Theres always going to be fresh faces who want to find an online hangout where everybody thinks freeskiing is cool as fuck. We will see tho.

- Top two buckles loosly
- flex into the boot like 3 times until your heal seats correctly into the pocket
- bottom buckles
- tighten up the top and do the power strap last.

I do that too.
But, I leave them super loose when Im taking the first chair of the day. Then, I tighten those fuckers down.

It’s as important as putting your pp away before zipping

put boot on
buckle bottom leg buckle then top then strap then tighten bottom then top then strap final micro adjustment that should only need done once then foot and toe buckle just enough to keep them buckled their only function is to keep d snow out

The second buckle down first seems like it prevents buckling the tung too hi off the ankle so second one down first after kicking heel back then top. Both tie buckles are ripped off on my full tilts with raichle emblems.
