Where to mount bindings on K2 Sight 179cm

Hello everyone. I ski the east cost where there is not any powder and 90% of the time I ski park. I recently bought 2019 K2 Sights and Tyrolia Attack2 13 bindings. I really want to mount these bindings true centre. Would mounting true centre be fine or should I set them back more?

I’d personally just mount em center if they’ll be a park specific ski for you. They’ll still ski fine elsewhere if you’re an experienced skier

What's the recommended mount point? It's not a symmetrical ski so you might want to mount back a couple cm?

Worst case is he splits the difference (if rec is -3 then go -1.5

All personal preference. Recommended isn’t always suited best for every type of skiing. I ride directional skis center all the time & don’t feel any noticeable performance issues

Of course it's all personal preference, mount wherever you want. OP was asking for advice so apparently they aren't sure where the want to mount right?

When OP stated that he spends 90% of the time in the park then I'd say the recommended line should be out of the picture (Factory recommended mount for the Sight is -4.1cm from center). Recommended on skis marketed for "All mtn intermediate" like the K2 Sight is usually set pretty far back for today's standards. If you're trying to progress in the park rather than look like some dude from Chicago on his yearly ski trip I'd say mount close to center.

I'm not trying to argue with you, I think you're probably right. If it's -4 from center I think a lot of people would recommend splitting the difference and mounting 2cm back from center.

OP, get your skis and boots out on the floor or bench and do a mock up, see what looks right for you?

mount em forward so you can land switch easier all the pro's do it.

The rec is very much a guide. It’s where we think the ski may work best but to be honest I don’t think I have any of my k2’s at the rec mount point.

What works beat best for you is what works best. Many of my pairs I have two or even three mounts on to find the best spot.

My sights i have at -1cm but I’m also old haha. Op if park is your thing I would just go Center.
