Should I get the Armada ARV 106s as a daily driver?

I’m looking at getting some new sticks and so far the ARV 106 is my top choice. I ski more on the all mountain side but some park too so the ARVs seemed like a perfect fit. I read the roofbox review and it seems like they can shred pretty much anywhere. Being in Colorado, the width seemed like a good fit for a one ski quiver. I’m also looking at Line SFBs, K2 Marksman, or maybe even Kartel 108s. Any other suggestions?

it sounds like you ski similar stuff to me and I absolutely love my 106s. When I used them in Japan they were amazing in pow, less so on the West coast when the snow is heavier (I live in BC and ski whistler and seymour/cypress). Im a heavy (bigboi) 6ft guy and they are just so much more stable than my line blends which now kinda feel like toys compared to my arvs.

Only issue is finding a pair to buy at a decent price. Seems like they sold out on armadas website months ago.

SFB is very soft and light this year so I’d pass on those and do the Armada instead.

Deals on 2020 models here and last year’s top sheets on even better deals still left in the 172cm and 180.

Good to hear! Glad to hear they have stability so you don't have to charge on wet cardboard. Where'd you mount them? Seems like a super solid ski though.

Yeah it seems like the SFB peaked around 5 ish years ago when they gave it that revamp. 2019 top sheets are wack in my opinion but it beats spending the extra money just to get the same ski with a different design. Thanks for sending that link by the way, that's a solid deal.

I mounted them at -2cm from true. Its just what im used to, never skiid anything centre mounted and given that I wanted to use them in pow it didnt seem too appealing to go centre.
