ON3P Jeffery 108 vs Woodsman 108 vs Moment Wildcat 108??

Yo! I'm a local at Alta Ski Area and I'm happy to say last year I bought my first pair on on3ps, the Kartel 116s. I love them and they're great skis for charging hard in pow while still being playful, although, they are a bit heavy when it came to doing 3s and lowered my confidence on backflips. Moving forward towards the season I'm thinking of getting new all-mountain skis that can charge pretty hard, handle crud and hit cliffs and hold a good edge, but also playful, light and good for pow and natural hits/kickers. I was looking at the Jeffery 108, or Woodsman 108, but I keep hearing about the Wildcat 108 too, What do yall think would be best for me? Any other ski recommendations will work!

Either Jeffery or wildcat. I think the kartel and Jeffery are pretty much the same thing so you can demo the wildcat for a bit to see which one you like more.

You're describing the exact balance that I reach for my Kartel / Jeffrey 108s for. Can't say enough good things.

I've heard great things about the Wildcat 108 in its short time out but I've heard it's stiffer through the tip and tails - bit more stable for charging and a bit less play for jibbing the mountain.

Resurrecting this thread because I’m pondering the idea of wildcat 108 vs Jeffrey 108. I can get the on3ps for 10% cheaper, and have thicker edges and bases. Wildcats seem to be stiffer and charge harder?


really trying to swallow my pride and just get the best option. Need it to do everything, from icy days, to
moguls, to the heavy wet snow, to skiing trees, to crushing crud at Mach 9, but still throwing some flips, spins, and cliff stomps. I’ll be able to demo on3p as they usually stop at my resort. but sadly not
moment.

suggestions? Seems like you can’t go wrong either way.

I haven’t skied the Jeffery but my WC 108 is the best ski ever, it can do everything

Up, the wc 108 is the perfect all mountain charger. Couldnt have a better daily driver for alta. You really cant go wrong with either tho

Honestly dude the woodsmans at 108 wouldnt be a bad choice for an all mtn ski but it skis a bit differently than the jefferys ( I have Kartel 108s as well.) Love them both but they each ski different in their own regard. Ive been really enjoying how the woodsman 116s ski so far this season though. really fun ski to take all over the place.

what’s the mounting point on the wildcat vs Jeffrey. I’m guess somewhere near -3 on both skis?


Still need to be able to ride switch a bit of the time but nothing crazy.

I don't think there's a rec mount point but most people are at -3 or -4. I'm at -4

Hmmmm, I’m pretty sure skis that aren’t symmetrical have recommended mount points. I know my on3ps have a stamp in the sidewall for recommended

Jeffrey 108 if it’s the same as the Kartel 108 was 4.6cm back and the Moment Wildcat is 6cm back from center.

Does anyone have an opinion on which of these skis would feel most like the black ops 118? I have fallen in love with those big bastards and want to have a narrower version for everyday usage. The Jeffery seems a bit heavier and dampener but it sounds like the wildcat may charge a bit harder. I like how well the bo’s charge through both pow and chop and just how stable they are at speed and that’s what I’m looking for in my everyday ski. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you go a bit forward on the mount with the WC, then yes. I thought that ski was super damp and handled really well at high speed in all kinds of snow. The WC 108 will be easier to turn but that's really just because its skinnier. Both skis are a similar shape and flex so I think having something similar as your skinny ski would. Myself and friends like the WC at +2 from recommended, but you could even go +3 to get a similar feel to the BO with a -2.5 mount from center (I think?).

I’ve been on both but the bibbys, jeffereys are sitting around -4 or so and from my knowledge the bibbys are -6. They bumped it up a bit more to -5 with the wildcat.

definitely a different ski, waist difference aside the bibbys like to be driven a bit, and are more stable. But not as poppy and fun as the jeffereys. Bibbys still have tons of tail rocker so switch is more than doable.

From reading I’d assume the woodsman is closer to the wildcat vs the jeffereys to the wildcat.
