Help me pick skis

Yo! I’m getting back into skiing after a five year hiatus and need some help choosing a new set of sticks. Im 6’1” 185 lbs. and consider myself an intermediate skier. I like doing a bit of everything on the mountain (park laps, groomers, trees, pow, anything really). I still got my old pair of Armada Alpha 2’s that ill be using for park so ive been debating whether to get something more geared towards all mountain or get something fatter for pow days as i’ll be spending the whole season at Big White, BC. Any advice and suggestions are appreciated!

Since your existing Armada skis are quite narrow and limited to more park/firmer groomers etc, I’d look at the 104-108 range for an all mountain daily driver. Will still be good when it snows in powder but they will be more versatile than the wider skis when it’s not snowing lots.

Haven’t been on the latest 4Frnt skis but the devastator went on a diet this year so it probably won’t charge as hard as the previous version and full rocker skis are not to everyone’s liking so a demo would be best.

Had a pair of the 2018 SFB but found them way too soft and light for charging crud and have been replaced. The 2020 version is even softer and lighter so even in the 190cm, would only recommend for softer snow at slower speeds. Very playful though.

The Armada ARV 106 would be a great daily driver for your needs I think and more versatile than the 116.

The Moment Wildcat 108 would be a perfect ski for Big White in the trees and through crud.

ON3P Jeffrey or Woodsman 108 would also be great skis for your needs.

Nordica Enforcer 104 Free would be the carver of the group and not really a “park ski” but incredibly good ski on groomers, through crud and in trees.

I'm still on my first pair of wide skis, which are the Backland 102's. Not sure if you're looking for new, but you can find a pair with bindings for around $400 online. I honestly think its a very easy going ski that you can also push the limits. Super easy in the trees and in larger powdery moguls. It also works well on the frontside; however, not a great choice on icier conditions like most skis 102 + underfoot.
