Armada edollo vs ARV 96

*posting her because not many people look at gear talk*

here’s the scoop, I need something new, bought a pair of rossignol black ops 98 last year-completely destroyed them. I liked them allot because they could ski anything but they were too stiff. Looking at these two because I can get a deal, which one would you recommend for park skiing and maybe some fun cliffs or some mini golf? Thanks in advance.

The arv 96 would be a better all mountain in my opinion

The ARVs are good at everything unless you like a softer, more park specialized ski, then edollo.

Just bought the arv 96s. I ski 40% park 60 all mountain.

Digging out the topic a bit.

I am after my first twin tips which will generally be my park skis exclusively (for causal downhill I use race salomons 24h).
I was set to buy ARV 96 but because of general hype they get from everywhere. However, I've got an option to put £50 more and get Edollo's.

What you guys think?
What drew my attention is Edollo's 'more park characteristic'. As I do have downhill skis already, I don't need the allmoutainy abilities 96's are praised for. On the other hand I've always appreciated jumps more than jibs (not a surprise with race skis I guess), where softer Edollo's bother me a bit.

The tails of the dollos are pretty solid. I rode them as a daily and didn’t think they were too soft the noses are pretty soft but not too soft.

you're set either way dude. theyre extremely similar skis, the dollo was just armada making some tweaks to the arv96, most notably tweaking the flex. if you want a little more park-specific flex, go dollo, if you want a little more all-mtn specific flex, go arv96. either one will be perfect for what you're looking for, you're just choosing flavor now

imo if you're on the fence you should go arv96

Have you had a chance to ride ARV96? What would you go for in my case?

Only because the dollo is a slightly more specialized ski, so I think a person who is asking about it and on the fence should just go with the “safe” choice

but honestly they’re so similar and such good skis and both will fit your request perfectly. There’s seriously zero chance you regret your choice at this point, it’s not a high stakes decision like that. Just go with your gut, if a *slightly* more specialized ski sounds like the ski you want to add to your quiver then go with that. If you want to get a park ski that is medium in all the right ways, go with the ARVs
