getting electrocuted

its kinda fun but hurts a little. im trying to fix my tv so i took it apart(i have no clue what im doing) and i was playing with the wires and my fingrs made a complete circut and i got zapped. it is wierd i was like all dizzy for a few minutes and my calves were twitching. i dont know if its from the shock or the redbull but im mad hyper.
i had something funny to say but i forgot it.

I just got back from the physio, and she put these things on my knee that make it twitch and send these electic shocks between pads on either sides of your knees. it was intense. By the way, the physio was this really hot asian chick.

Ive been, it was acutally very ironic, as I was shocking people for a few days with a static carpet, then trying to plug in an old lamp into a floor socket I shocked the shit out of myself.

so when you get shocked, its because of the current running through you, due to voltage, but you get hurt because of current.... so why does it say ' danger High Voltage'?

I thought being electrocuted meant you died from electricity, I got shocked really bad once trying to turn the water heater off in my old ghetto house, as soon as my arm touched it, it lost feeling and jerked back really hard and then got all tingly it was weird. I've been tased a few times before that hurt a lot worse

Those fly swatters are fun, but they definately leave patterns burned into you skin. Personally, haven't gotten too many shocks, but I've seen old school electricians lick a finger and quickly shock themselves to see what voltage was running in a house. I also watched a friend zap himself pretty good working on his car, he got thrown to the ground and shaking, got up and tried walking it off. It's kinda funny seeing this big portugese kid shaking (fully body) while walking trying to stutter out ''shit!''. After about 30 minutes he was back to normal and joking how his whole body went numb and he couldn't control the shaking, it looked closer to a cartoon than anything else I had ever seen in my life.

what i mean is that, they should put, Danger, Strong Current, not high voltage, because in effect its not the voltage that hurts but the current... so why do they do that? im just wondering...

I also know a lot of people who have welded their wire dikes together snipping wires they didn't know were live.

Anyone other than me ever lick the ends of a 9-volt battery? Can make your tongue a little tingly, but that's how I used to test 9-volts to see if they had anything left

It's actually the amperage that hurts you the most, not the voltage. It is kind of strange how signs say danger high voltage, should say amperage.

know whats fun? disposable cameras... the film winds into the cartridge, so you take the camera apart, develope the film and steal the batteries, but there is a place on the camera which can shock you pretty good if you touch it. i pt it against the back of some kid sitting in the bus seat in front of me, he was sooooo pissed. and i was eating a devil dog and playing with one once, and i shocked myself and threw the devildog down the hallway into the wall at the other end, it was intense

in 7th grade a took a paper clip and put it on the end of a ruler and stuck it in an outlet, there was a huge zap and sparks went everywhere, the teacher was like WHAT HAPPENED? i was like nothing, then some retard says HE PUT A PAPER CLIP IN THE SOCKET i was like fuck, then the stupid bitch teacher tried to take the paper clip off the ruler, bitch got burned

thats nothing. A few years ago some guy and I woke up in a bathroom and we were chained to the wall and there was this guy in the middle of the bathroom with head head blown off...anyway we tried to trick the kidnapper into thinking one guy was dead but he shocked up both instead through the chains...it hurt like a bitch.

i washed my hands at school and the metal part of the dryer that makes the air blow down was broken off so the air was just drying straight out. i wasnt paying attention and i accidentally stuck my finger up onto one of those metal coils and it shocked the hell out of me. i went back to class and my arms were like limp and my hair was standing on end.

i once got it pretty bad too. i made a wager with a guy, he would give me 10 dollars to keep my hand on an electric fence for 5 seconds but after 4 my arm wipped back and i couldnt feel anything in the right side of my upper body

almostaskiier, the reason why it says 'danger, high voltage' is because, although the current is what does the damage, the voltage determines what the current is.
For example, if you short circuit a 1.5 volt the current would be super high (mathematicaly it works out to infinity, or error on your calculator, in reality it's just way up there) but if you touch the wire not much is going to happen because the voltage isn't high enough to power much current through you.
If there's a line with super high voltage but very low current (because of super high resistance in the circuit) and you grab the line at two different points, your body creates a short basically and the current going through you is huge even though typically the current is low and now you're dead.
Normally, though, if it says 'Danger, High Voltage', it's a high voltage and high current circuit anyways, so it really doesn't matter either way.

I had these cheap ghetto ass wires and I was trying to fix my apple cord , so I made a circuit and stuck the other end into a surge protector thing, spars shot everywhere the cord melted and that whole section of my room went off , including my other computer. it was wierd because the wire was stuck to this knife i was holding and it set on fire. I couldnt see without a dot for almost a day

electrocuted means that the end result of the shock is death. A guy I worked with touched 44'000 volt hydrolines while clearing away tree limbs. He survived but had 1' diameter holes in his arm where the electricity shot out of him on the way to ground... moral is dont touch live lines.

my friend in physics class plugged a 2 volt bulb into a 220V outlet, it was pretty funny, it flashed extremely bright and blue for a sec and just burned down... Also when I was 8 I plugged my fingers looking for the outlet in the dark I put my fingers in it just gave me a big fat shake I could feel through my whole boddy, it was fun(220Volts)

well, i licked the terminals of one of those big ass flashlight batteries.... the ones that are about the size of a brick..... that was fun.

then, i found a short circut in an industrial kitchen, if you touch the sink, then touch this rack behind it, you get ufffuccckkeeed. dumb ass me didn't realize what did it the 1st time, and shocked my sorry ass real bad the second time because my hands were wet, i was spazzing all over the place.

a couple years ago i was walking home from school and this was spring time so creeks were starting to melt but the ice was still solid enough to walk across so me and my buddy are walking home and we took the shortcut we always take that requires walking across a little creek. so i end up falling through and my whole lower body gets completely soaked so i get home a few minutes later and i had some shit to type up on my comp so i get my moms hairblower out and i was gonna dry my pants while i was on the computer so i crawl under the desk to plug it into the power bar and it was having trouble going on so i grab it with my other hand and force it down and zap. i got the biggest zapping of my life. i was laying under the desk tweaking like crazy. i was under there for a good ten minutes till i was finally able to move again

when i was younger i unfolded a paper clip and stuck it into a wall socket, i saw a blue light go up my arm, it hurt like a bitch.

and once i was mowing the lawn and this wire fell off the spark plug, the lawnmower started to stall so i put it back on real fast and got zapped real nicely.
