should I get blends for 500 or stick with my caddys this season

The price for the Blends is just okay but why are you wanted to change from the Caddy at all? Are they beat up? Want something wider and softer?

Lots of options in the 95-100 width that have more backbone for the same or less money that would be like a wider Caddy. Unless you want a super soft ski?

Also better deals out there on the Framewall/Attack2 13 if you wanted a slightly stiffer and beefier ski than the Caddy if the width is fine on the Caddy.

Lol I skied mostly caddys for the past two years and couldn't disagree more. Not a lot of rocker, pretty soft, super fun to carve around with. I live on the EC but last year skied Val Thorens, bringing the caddy's and a pair of JJ zeros. Unless you're beyond like thigh deep pow, the caddys were great for going fast and skiing a lot of vert.



Blends have more rocker, are softer and are obviously wider, so they will probably handle better in powder? I think every ski head makes is too tame to really be a PARK ONLY OR HAVE A BAD TIME ski.

Having used them in the Maritimes and a month in the rockies, I find the Caddies are too soft and light for high speed skiing or anything other than groomed snow or shallow slush. They are great in the park though.
I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs though, so maybe that makes a difference.

The Framewalls are stiffer, damper and heavier than The Caddy with the addition of the full wrap around sidewall. With the binding mounted around 3-4cm back from center, it rips groomers, bumps and a bit of crud as long as it’s not too deep. I’m 175lbs on the 181cm and love it on harder snow days.

On soft snow snow days I do reach for wider, heavier skis with more rocker but with similar flex patterns to the Framewall.

Without knowing what you like/don’t like about the Caddy’s and what you want out of any new pair of skis none of us could help your decision.

If if you want a super soft, wider ski then the Blends are decent but they aren’t stable and not great on harder snow. I’d much rather have Dynastar Slicer/Menace 98, Black Ops 98, Bent 100, ARV 96, Jeffrey 96 etc etc
Skis that are still fun but have a bit of a backbone.
Depending on your size, Dynastar Slicer in 175cm and Attack2 13 you could get for $350 US.

Sounds like you obviously want blends but you want someone else to say it on here so you can blame somebody when your mom gets mad.
