I think this transcends time, as my pops and a skier buddy of his are named Matt and also use to shred the basin back in the day.

There are so many goddamn people near my age with my name. Had a class with 7 Nick's in Middle School. I met a friend of a friend skiing last year, and I said,

"Hey, My name is Nick."

they said, " Another one? ...damn"

It was off putting, I said something like, "Yeah another white, bearded dude named Nick who likes to slide snow."
