Unpopular opinion inc, only 100 iq and above individuals allowed to post in this thread.

Bought a vape pen ($70) that was suppose to "put me to sleep". Literally did fuck all. Read all the stuff on the interwebs about "curing muh anxiety" or "it relaxes you bro", still didn't work for me.

Is CBD the greatest snake oil to have ever been sold?

Ill try and find the sources when I get home but theres a marijuana research firm based out of montucky I believe that tests CBD and THC products and has a list of all the brands that honestly BS the % of CBD in their products, its something to look out for though its not all entirely bad. Its just the weed industry is kinda the wild west right now, especially concentrates and shit

Yeah you probably bought that BS shit, I've had tincture from a young couples company in Maine that could knock me out, plus you kind of have to have the issues that cbd helps with, I've had edibles that keep me from not losing my shit at work.

CBD isn't psychoactive so not useful for insomnia; it is useful for the indications you can't immediately measure efficacy such as epilepsy and other diseases. The whole CBD cures everything under the sun craze is dogshit. THC does the insomnia job just right tho.

Note about CBD. Yes, states have legalized it. No the farm bill means shit- that deals with hemp. Yes it is also a CV substance under a prescription drug name, therefore technically it is federally illegal without a prescription as far as the FDA is concerned- who is an enforceable agency. They have shut down producers but their efforts are feeble. There are so many places producing this stuff though that they just can't enforce it. Is CBD harmful? No. Does it have clinically significant drug-drug interactions that lay persons aren't aware of? Yes. Do all CBD products contain CBD? Nope. The issue with no regulation or enforcement is that many of these places might not be actually selling you CBD. There's no knowing wtf is in your "CBD" that you bought from wherever the fuck. Sure it might be just CBD, but it also might contain THC (has happened) or other truly harmful chemicals. Recommend only buy CBD from a licensed dispensary or from a producer that follows good manufacturing processes (GMP) as they will have external oversight to ensure quality and accuracy of production and what's on the labels.

Just my two cents. Take it or leave it.

I think a lot of people, and definitely the companies selling it, are very over-zealous with their claims about what it does. It's honestly hilarious what some people will claim about it.

That said, in my totally unscientific study with a sample size of 1 (me), it seems to have helped me stay asleep. Used to wake up with cold sweats all the time during stressful times of the year, then started taking 5-15 mg via a tincture before bed and was consistently sleeping through the night. Didn't change anything else in my daily routine apart from adding CBD, so at least for me, it seems to have helped. And when combined with THC, I find that I fall asleep faster, but I wake up less "awake" or alert and don't always sleep through the night, whereas I haven't noticed this with just CBD. But that could totally be a placebo, mental, or personal thing. And I'd argue that CBD doesn't do a whole lot for general anxiety / stress, at least in my case. Better, more consistent sleep has been the main thing I've noticed, and I think the CBD creams I've used have helped with muscle pain, but I'm less confident in that than I am with the consistent sleep aspect.

Mostly, I just hope that people will be able to do more objective research on it. Large-scale studies seem to be extremely limited at this point, but I'm looking forward to one day being able to see more conclusive evidence about what it does, and does not do.

Lol my buddy is all hyped over CBD. Always talks about how great it is. I've told him repeatedly that it is literally the placebo effect, but he doesn't care and would rather still take it if that's the case.

I had one of my arms amputated in 2015 after a heavy machinery accident - excavator tipped over and crushed my arm.

Anyway, I tried a lot of different things over the years that didn’t help with the pain or mobility of my shoulder. I started using CBD about 9 months ago and my arm already grew back.

CBD doesn’t do shit without THC to go with it. However if you can get CBD bud that has been tested for concentration that stuff is pretty great. On its own doesn’t do much but great for mixing with thc or for smoking when you’re drunk and want to feel the body high but don’t want to be an antisocial stoner blazed on the couch unable to talk to anyone

I bought a half ounce of CBD flower and started cutting my regular weed 70/30

probably the only thing it's good is saving weed but being that I was buying $90 ozs of actual weed and $50 halfs of this bullshit near beer weed so it actually costs more to get less high.

as far as all the "my dog has never been healthier; my grandma feels amazing; joe rogan said this would help" effects? didn't notice anything. at this time I was 4-6 months out from ACL surgery and it literally did nothing.

why would you buy a pen specifically for cbd? and not just a dab pen battery and cbd carts? also 70 bucks for a vape pen, thats soooo overpriced, you got scammed. I can run down to my dispo and get a brand new pen and three carts 80-95% thc and still not pay 70. Come out to the West if you really trying to smoke some quality kush. Cbd alone sucks donkey cock, but a 96%thc and 10%cbd cart will fuck your brain up.

Yeah, mostly this. I've got a buddy who's always got a different CBD product he's trying. I've had one of my best nights of sleep ever (in a Walmart parking lot no less) after he double dosed me on some Floyds tincture. But then he also is always giving me these gummies that do literally nothing, other than taste like healthy candy. For me, CBD edibles seem to have about the same effect as Ibuproffin, but they're probably better for my liver, so I'll keep using em.

And then with creams, they seem to work with me, but it could also just be a by-product of me massaging the cream into the affected area which would also feel good with like vaseline. But a THC/CBD combo cream absolutely saved my feet at SIA like 5 years ago, so that was really cool.

All that to say, at this point, I'm not interested in spending my own money on CBD products, but am always down to try whatever snake oil my buddy has in his pack.

I found THC and CBD together work a hell of a lot longer and hit quicker than just straight CBD.

I'm a daily cannabis user, but I had to quit 19 days ago. Last time I quit, back in August, I dealt with a lot of uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms: restlessness, cold sweats, anxiety, insomnia, migraines, and irritability. I tried to alleviate the symptoms with exercise, drinking water, being social, new hobbies, etc. Nothing really helped, and I still had significant cravings. I bought cbd vape pen (Green Vapor CBD Vape Pen) for this break, and I only wish I'd thought of doing it sooner. I still get a lot of the benefits of smoking weed, and withdrawal hasn't been an issue this time around.

Some people can take a shit ton of CBD and it’ll barely do anything.

The fact is, we don’t know why/how it works, it used to be believed that it blinded with the endocannabinoid system, but that has pretty much been debunked. It does alleviate seizures in a few forms of epilepsy, and has anecdotally been linked do reducing anxiety, pain and helping sleep, but this is very possibly due to the placebo effect. The problem is it’s very difficult to get govt funding to do studies on this (and actually even studies funded by “big weed” also debunk the endocannabinoid link). More research is really needed.

Over 55% of Cbd Products as not as they claim. Some don't even have CBD in them.

Except; cbd is always in weed. A 3:1 ratio of thc to cbd is far better than sour diesel or bubblegum whigger which is around 30% thc which basically makes me get cerebral palsy.

I was at lunch with a friend whose CBD seed company has made millions in Colorado. I was like there is not a single reputable study showing CBD actually does anything. He said dude it doesn't even matter if it doesn't do anything. The industry is simply its own self-sustaining beast.

I have some friends in the cannabis industry here in Denver and from different convos they all seem to have a similar opinion. They say CBD can be effective but not in the small dosages that are in most CBD products. Also, you need to take it for a while for your body to adapt to it. They were talking 500 mg+, not this 10-20 mg bullshit that most companies sell.
