Show me the best bibs on the market, got some UA from Ahmet at a pro sale that look like smoky clouds but when my dads touring buddies made fun of the 4 year outdate I figured it was time for some new gear

Trew Trewth Bib or Outdoor Research Hemisphere, pricey but good! Probably wouldn't go wrong with Armada Vision, Dakine Stoker, Planks Yeti Hunter or Volcom Roan at the cheaper end of the spectrum though...

I can back the Outdoor Research. To go with that I’d add Patagonia or Arcteryx. I don’t buy anything that’s not gore-tex anymore.

Browsed some of the OR, never had Patagonia outerwear only down and base layers, got my girlfriend those north face ones with the floral toucans last year she like them was debating on some TNF

++ Points for style in the pant hunt not as worried about price

Dakine has something to check out. Solid designs, Gortex and other good materials, insanely dope but simple pocket designs, breath ability, etc. I've been in the same bibs for years now and just had them fall apart on me last season.

My Trew The Trewth bibs have performed excellently for the past 2 seasons of inbounds and touring. Waterproofness and breathability comparable to GoreTex Pro. Going into season #3 with zero holes, scuffs, or seam damage. The seem to have switched the fabric for this upcoming season so I can't comment on the new ones.

Dakine Wyeast Bib lasted me 2 winters and then 1 summer I worked at Timberline with minimal wear it wasn’t until the end of last season I had to toss them (mind you I worked at Timberline as a liftie too so they were getting put to Heavy use Id reccomend it)

I’ve heard Volcom also makes solid and durable bibs

Ok after some research I realized i'm an idiot and that Gore-Tex isn't the end all be all for waterproofing.

Yea they have their own system. I guess plain and simple theyr'e bomb proof and have 20k waterproofing. Worth it for what you're paying and they will last you multiple seasons.

Well I’m not sure about that really.

To be allowed to use goretex the manufacturer has the prove to gore that the fabrics they use are up to gore’s standards. So this gives some basis for knowing that the materials they use at high quality.

The other big big factor is goretex has a lifetime warranty.

They are other good membranes out there but you can’t always guarantee the quality like you can gore.

Just something to consider. I have used goretex and countless other membranes and all though most are awesome goretex products tend to be slightly better overall.

flylow and trew make some dope ass bibs that hold up nice and keep you dry on wet days, i'd recommend the baker bib

the flylow baker bib isnt the baggiest but it also isnt tight by any means and might work for yah. it comes in tall sizes too which could be useful for you.
