Replying to Should I upgrade from my Blends?
So I currently have Line Blends from 2013 and am wondering if I should sell them and get something that is wider and more stout. Although I don't ski that much I have in several occasions found myself in terrain where they are less than optimal, such as powder, steep bumps, ice, etc. It doesn't help that they are 171 cm long and I am 6'0. I do tend to lap the park, and I intend to get better at buttering and flexing them on snow, so they work fine there, but like I said, I do much more than lap the park every season. I don't ski much every year so they are not super beat up, def a lot of life left.
I want a really lively and poppy ski that is between 105 and 120mm wide, but I also want it to be pretty rockered and butterable. I was looking at the Surface Outsider in the spring but I didn't have the money to buy them and it would definitely have been taking a gamble as they are a weird ski albeit with generally good reviews. Now they won't be on sale and their new graphic looks much worse :( Rn I am looking at the new Volkl Revolt, the Line Outline, the Vishnu Wide Plus, On3p Jeffrey 108, Moment Deathwish, Faction Prodigy 4.0.
Should I bother saving up for a new pair or just stick with my Blends?
