Replying to Waxing surface skis, wth?

Anyone who owns surface skis know that they dont accept wax well at all. The wax just streaks up and the base refuses to soak it in. Cant see all their 2020 skis yet but the older ones had sintered bases which should except wax easier. Not sure if they changed that. Many people claim that surface skis are cheap. But the only thing that seems cheap to me are their bases. Shapes are super fun, top sheets dont chip to bad, new and cool graphics every year and sidewall construction. I love my outsiders and love my onelifes and even was thinking about buying some odysseys. But those damn bases will not except wax, just always has bothered me...
