Replying to Touring on the East Coast

I know this sounds crazy to the west coast people. But living on the east coast and having Ski The East videos as a heavy influence has made me want to do it. I've been living in New England a few years now and the Greens and Whites aren't far from me. I've done Tucks in the spring a few times but it's all hiking/boot packing/slack country. I'm wondering if there's anyone that has experience or recommendations on gear for touring on the east coast.

P.S. I know avy classes are neccessary (especially in the Whites)
