KEVTRONI got a sight mark "holo" on the cheap and it was cool because I could change the rectile around, but I had problems with it. It would turn on and off while I was shooting lol. Kind of get what you pay for I guess. If you have the ability to try out the Aimpoint and EoTech I would before you drop the $. I had an Aimpoint Pro on my Patrol Rifle and I hated it. I bought the EoTech XPS2-0 and that thing is beyond amazing. I hear the Sig Romeos are great red dots but I have yet to try one out. It all comes down to personal preference though I guess.
For sure man. My sight mark holo is okay, don't have problems with it kicking off, but the reticle isn't very clear from all angles and the reticle pattern selector switch doesn't click solidly into place, so just wiggling it a bit can move the reticle left or right considerably, and there goes any accuracy (pretty shitty design flaw for a potentially life and death product). I just keep the switch pushed as hard to one side as possible as a temp solution, can't change reticles but hey. I really want that Eotech holo but there's a few other things I need to save for first.
Have a Romeo1 on my p320 xcarry and a romeo5 on my AR. They’re legit and can take abuse.

KEVTRONOf course you can get a better rifle for $1500 over a PSA assuming you are implying that I used PSA parts on the rifle I built which I did not. And that's exactly what I was implying as most people do just that....shoot paper. What makes you think a 10.5" AR will run unreliably with the suppressor? Something you read on the internet or personal experience? The suppressor will be run on multiple different caliber guns, which is how I'm justifying the price on buying it instead of just buying a dedicated suppressors for each.
I'm nodding to the fact that if you're going to get better quality parts, why bother with a PSA lower in the first place? I don't think Aero is much more expensive and it's significantly better from a QC perspective.
The reliability issues with a can are from experience and I'm not saying you will definitely have problem, I'm saying likely to. Back pressures from cans cause a multitude of reliability issues and a "one size fits all" can is only going to fuel that fire. I'm not trying to hate on you trying to save money for your needs, i'm trying to suggest looking further into it before you buy something that does everything, but very poorly. If you're talking about buying a 30 cal can to run with 7.62 and 5.56 you'll be able to make it work, but the new modular suppressors are not worth the money (Optimus/Hybrid/Omega M).

But I would go further and say 99.9% of AR owners aren't guys who stack bodies. This is why I don't not recommend PSA. Great platform for the weekend range visitor who brings 3 mags to slowly spend and 1 more to dump. Hell I love shooting and I still can't get out enough to warrant much more than that.

JAHpowYeah so I have already started a new build lol. Building a Mk18 pistol. I have everything except what is forward of the receivers atm
Sick, I have another andersen lower I'll be building a pistol with. Wanted to finish the rifle build first. Plan on doing a 10"ish barrel for the pistol, 7's are too loud imo and I personally prefer the 10". I can update my rifle part build list if anyone is interest. It's pretty budget, got everything for killer deals. Pistol will be higher quality build. I already have a few complete AR's and felt like building a cheapish one.
Anybody got any good recommendations for an offset picatinny red dot mount? I'm not liking my FastFire directly on top of my LPVO so I wanna try canted. T.REX Arms was gonna be my go-to but it turns out their mount doesn't accommodate the footprint standard of the FastFire 3
Edit: I want the mount to fit the picatinny on my gun. I'd prefer that the attachment of the sight to the mount is direct, rather than the mount having its own picatinny rail and having to attach the sight with an adapter.

Remington 783 270 WIN w/ stock scope. Figured I should have a smaller rifle as well, and it was a good deal.

I’m just bought a Kel Tec CMR 30 and a PMR 30 (I can’t pick them up until Friday).
pretty stoked about having a rifle and pistol in .22WMR with interchangeable mags. Planning on cutting the barrel of the CMR to 10.5” and putting a silencer on it.

safarisamOkay, mine is a little older and doesn't have it, seems pretty cool though. I'm still adjusting to shooting the 7mm, the recoil is quite a bit.
Check out Limbsaver recoil pads. They really do a good job to soften the recoil. I put one on my shotgun and it made followup shots much quicker.

Sick, I'll look into it. I can deal with it prone, sitting, or kneeling, but standing and shooting it almost causes me to "bounce" or push off my back foot?
I'd like to buy a hunting rifle this year. I'm most interested in getting something versatile that I could give my son one day. Thinking 300 win mag or 270 win perhaps. Any thoughts boys? I'm not very experienced in hunting, but the folks who I'll be learning from are very much so and I'm working hard to get out there this year as much as possible.

What are you hunting? Learning on a 300 could teach you pretty bad habits, the 270 has less of a kick imo. I think i it really depends on the game you’re going after. I have a 7mm for elk, but also a 270 which I’ll use for deer.
Elk and deer are what I’d like to go for most often, but I put in for lots of stuff in the draw. I’m comfortable with firearms, hunting not so much. Seems like a 270 would cover most of what I want unless I get lucky and pull a moose one year/gain enough points. Would you agree?

270 gets the job done. I have plenty of friends who use it as their one and done rifle. Mine is much lighter than my 7mm, it makes hiking around a lot easier which is nice. I think the 270 is more than enough— works from elk to pronghorn.

I prefer any bolt action, synthetic is just fine. I find they have a better grip in shitty conditions. I have a Savage and a Remington, been pretty impressed with both of em. The Tikka T3 is pretty sick too.

I have a Tikka T3 Lite stainless and love it. Very accurate, incredibly smooth bolt, comfortable stock.
Dustin, if you want something to hand down to your son in the future I'd get something in a nice wood stock. I think those are more aesthetically pleasing and more unique. No two wood stocks are the same. Synthetic is just basic plastic. All the same, nothing unique about them. My lite is synthetic, but any future bolt I get will be wood (unless im chassising out some build).
With all that in mind- Tikka T3 Hunter in .270. Or a T3 Forest if you're mounting a big tall scope.
However, the classic Remington 700 is probably the benchmark of a good rifle.
Also, my dad has a Ruger M77 Mountain Rife and that might be one of my favorite rifles.
