Titus69Yup my point exactly, you are a stupid fucking high schooler, I guarantee if you keep up your hardo Republican lifestyle you'll end up being a bigger asshat than you are now. Thanks for trying to use me as an example though, sure I did bad in school since elementary, smoke pot and whatever but I actually havent screwed myself, cause besides my mental issues from life experiences I'm happy with where I am, so fuck you for trying to say that before knowing anything. My parents might wish I was on what they think is a better path but they're stoked on me for getting to where I'm at, working a summer and winter job, living on my own, and trying to ski a shit load before im old and brittle. Remember you dont have to conform to what people expect of you. If I'm stuck financially my parents have no money to spare even with their good careers cause Trump wanted to raise premiums and taxes on the lower class causing my family to make drastic changes, so I'm not a lazy millenial either cause I'm willing to work to get what I want. Like I said, wait til the real world and keep an open mind if you're not completely mentally gone in 10 years, then you might understand where the other side is coming from, you probably just pay attention to the fox news idiots (not that CNN & MSNBC are better).
What do you do to make so much? Generally curious cause if you really do "MaKE mORe ThAn THeSe FuCKtaRDs" then good on you.
PhreeKandiHappy you said something. Fuck you for thinking my dad supports Trump before knowing anything. Fuck you to only think I watch fox news. Fuck you for thonking im far right. I actually am against far right beliefs more than many democratic beliefs. Nothing i said pointed to the far right. Fuck you to think I'll be brain dead in 10 years. I have never done a single drug or taken any alcoholic beverages in my life And I plan too keep it that way. I've gotten a 4.0 the last 4 years at school. And I work harder than any of did as a teenager. My job is mowing lawns, and I just made 4k in the past 2 months and I have raised enough to pay for half my college over the past two summers. So yes on a monthly basis I do believe i make as much as most adults on this site.
Titus69Lol you're fair to say that, its just funny that I was right in you being privileged, sorry I grew up in a town with privileged kids who's daddy tells them to like trump, so kinda just assumed Haha. You also came across as a "blah blah work hard to do this and that blah blah pay your damn taxes" type douche, also labeling millenials as lazy (not the only lazy people these days). But good on you I guess for making that on your own, however I wanna say theres a lot of NSers here (not daily regulars to the site these days) that make probably over $40k a year, and I personally make between $2-3k a month during my summer job when business is good. I also meant brain dead in the sense that you'll have your head to far up your ass, not the other type. Good for you for working a lot and being straight edge, but dont be a total fucking stinge to everyone like your awesome and perfect.
PhreeKandiYa sorry I was kinda being a dick, but it just pisses me off to see some people who have such strong opinions against our country which most people here have it better than probably 80-90%(most not all) of the rest of the world. Also the beliefs most of the dedicated liberal party share baffles me. Some people base 100% of their views of peoples feelings, and that is idiocracy. It's gotten to the point where science is completely ignored to keep peoples feelings from being hurt. Bullshit. You dont seem like that type of person. You actually seem like a very good person who has very good perspective. Good for you for being a hard worker and good luck to you.
PhreeKandiAll these lazy ass millenials on this site bitching about Trump, who worked hard to get where he is, are mad they make minimum wage and are willing to volunteer rich peoples money to end world hunger, improve education, and stop climate change but won't do a thing themselves. In ten years ima make more than every pothead millenial on this site combined and theyll still be bitching about healthcare and a higher minimum wage.
.MASSHOLE.Oh Christ.
Trump worked hard to get where he is?
Really? He was loaned $60.7mn from his father to start his business. In modern day equivalents that'd be like getting a loan of $140mn.
Not only that, but he was born into money, so much so that he was already worth millions by the time he was 10 years old due to Trump Sr.'s net worth.
His father further improved Trump's financial position by channeling money to Trump and his siblings by giving them positions within his empire which in turn allowed them to avoid certain tax liabilities.
And FWIW, get your head out of your ass about minimum wage. It's ironic you criticize people for ignoring science or statistics when you literally bring up minimum wage, where there is an incredible amount of data discussing the effects of wage hikes, and make baseless statements.
We won't even touch on the irony of you making that statement and supporting Trump either. That's a whole other can of worms I'd rather not open.
But here's a very recent paper on minimum wage:
https://www.nber.org/papers/w25434
At 15, I don't expect you to understand much of what's being discussed in that but there's a large amount of empirical evidence out there that shows increasing minimum wage provides a net benefit to the entire economy. And this is across the economic political spectrum as well. When there is consensus among economists, chances are, their view is the correct one.
Here's a good primer on the state of economics and the minimum wage- https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/faculty-and-research/anderson-review/minimum-wage-primer-leamer
It's easy to believe you know a lot at 15 and that your beliefs aren't shaped by your parents or surroundings, all you have to do is look at my post history. But I can tell you now, that's wrong. People who are telling you that you'll change as you grow up are correct. That doesn't mean your political views will change but your experiences will shape them and provide context. That being said, it is likely they will shift because of exposure to new ideas.
Again, there are studies that provide data supporting this.
https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/europpblog/2013/05/17/children-with-politically-engaged-parents-are-more-likely-to-deviate-from-their-parents-political-views-in-adulthood/#Author
https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/british-journal-of-political-science/article/why-does-the-apple-fall-far-from-the-tree-how-early-political-socialization-prompts-parentchild-dissimilarity/AB191D8C85DD9C046032DA9A4098EE0D
Now, you will find studies that question the actual impact parents have on the formation of political views of their children but there is almost undeniable proof that there is an impact.
And, before you call me a poor pothead millennial, I have a job, at a hedge fund, and am currently applying for my MBA at top 25 programs.
And advice for the future-
1. If you want to make a strong argument, don't resort to ad-hominem attacks.
2. Don't use anecdotes, use statistics and studies. Counter evidence that may weaken these studies preemptively.
3. Elaborate on why you dislike a position without resorting to emotional reasons.
4. For the love of god, use proper English PLEASE. Reading a rant that contains inexcusable grammatical errors (like they're/their, your/you're, etc.) is going to automatically detract from your argument. That doesn't mean your argument is invalid, but fewer people are going to take you seriously if you can't avoid those simple mistakes.
5. Avoid political discussions. They suck. There's never a winner. People are entrenched in their views and a single argument is unlikely to be a decisive factor in changing their opinion. I
Now back to lurking.

PhreeKandiYou screwed yourselves by doing bad in school, toking constantly etc. You for one are a great example of this. Also, yes I'm a privileged white teen, but that has nothing to do with this. You see a pretty consistent trend of successful black people who came from poverty having mostly conservative views. Liberals create a stigma that black people have it way harder (which they do a lot of the time) and that they should look to the government for help. Which in turn holds them back from achieving their best self. Asians are a minority group that people can be very racist towards, even more than blacks. But when you look at it, Asian people are usually very successful and proud because they work hard and they do what there family expects of them. Also a sidenote, I probably have a larger paycheck than half the fuckwads on this site, you included, at 15.

To be fair tho everyone In that argument violated your advice for the future.

Titus69Fuck yeah dude it's so sick!! I cant wait to see how it actually keeps people from migrating here!!! Trump is so great I can't think of any better way for our country to spend 2 billion dollars!!! World hunger? Education? No no no!! Keep those damn Mexicans out of our country that offers a better life than their shithole of one!!!!!!
SavageBiffThose amigos are some of the hardest working , culturally proud, ethically active people in the world and I’m proud to bring many h2b visa workers here every year as well as provide permanent visas and housing for a few , to pick on, oppress or segregate them or anyone aside from a terrorist is just disgusting
T.L.Agreed /\
You just described people who come here legally through a immigration or work visa process. People who come here illegally is the issue a wall hopes to prevent, or at least make more difficult.
The people who can't distinguish between the two, or the ones who purposefully conflate the two for imaginary virtue signaling bonus points is also a problem.
SavageBiffTrue, I still think we should ease up on the illegals, I’m not saying let them come across and gain access to our supportive plans such as welfare and unemployment , but we don’t have to strip their children away or jail them, I think it would cost less to repeatedly return them home and would be more humane. Also, now isn’t the right time for a wall, help those that need help, businesses and individuals, re establish the economy, strengthen foreign and local relations then create a wall fund, a better program for citizenship and begin a wall, a multi purpose wall that’s not just for immigrants but for air and ground defense, incorporate halfway style houses for refugees , they can’t come in but they’d be safely housed while assessments happen maybe even cooperate with Mexico and make it a business or an industrial area that provides jobs, a border etc...it could do its job while giving back, establishing a cooperative relationship and generating jobs, security and income for both sides

oh and trump 2020
T.L.I feel ya but coming across illegally a 2nd time is an automatic felony. That's just the way it is unless congress changes the law. Breaking the law as the first act of being on American soil shows a severe lack of respect for our country, our laws, our society, and the people who are waiting in line to do it the right way. It's a super unfortunate situation on all sides. Having to apply laws to people in less than ideal situations and having to provide care for the children of repeat felons is sticky to say the least... Dragging children across rugged, unforgiving terrain, just to skip the immigration line demonstrates a severe and habitual lack of good judgement on the part of a parent. In the US, when a parent repeatedly demonstrates a similar lack of judgement, CPS steps in and removes the child from the situation. Wrongfully so in some cases but the welfare of the child takes precedent. No one WANTS kids to be separated from their parents. No one WANTS kids to remain unclaimed by parents, it's just a shit result of a shit system that is forced to work within the bounds of the law of this country. Even for our own people, horrible things happen within the CPS and foster care systems. None of it is perfect and pretending like the government is even capable of providing a perfect solution for a complex and nuanced situation is naive. (not saying you are, just some people in general).
You also have to realize that children are used as a ticket in. When Trump talks about coyotes and human traffiking, that's what he's talking about. Children are leased or rented by parents, to coyotes for money so that people who pay the coyotes can claim them as their own because when an adult is caught with a child by border patrol they're processed differently specifically because of the child. If a child is brought over by one of these people, and then abandoned once they're in, that's what they're referring to as an unaccompanied minor in many cases... an abandoned human trafficking victim. It's disgusting.
Imo, the solution is to cut the problem off at the root cause. We need to reduce the desire to come here while breaking the law. Make it as difficult as possible (wall or barrier/surveillance/patrolling), apply the laws that are already on the books, make penalties harsh enough to discourage it in the first place, and encourage or help people to fix systemic problems in their own country.
The same way the US should not act as or be the world's police, we shouldn't be the worlds welfare magnet either. Resources being finite is a universal constant. We simply cannot provide for everyone who wants to come here. Again, unfortunate, but it's the reality we live in.
.MASSHOLE.The number of children brought into this country by coyotes after being "leased or rented" is infinitesimally small.
Between April 19, when the trend was first suspected (by Trump), and Sept. 30, the end of the 2018 fiscal year, CBP agents separated 170 families after determining that the child and adult traveling together were not related. That equals about 0.25 percent of all family units apprehended.
Stop with your nonsense.
There's zero concrete data beyond that to indicate there's any sort of commonality to what you're saying and the reality of the situation.
T.L.It's just one example of many things going on at the border. Saying that human trafficking problems on any scale at all is nonsense makes you sound like a fool.
Stop with your nonsense.
