Vail Bought my Home Mountain

I live in the suburbs of St. Louis MO. My home resort is hidden valley and for that 6 seasons I have frequented that hill at least 15 times a season. I just learned yesterday that Vail acquired their parent company and now made it part of the epic pass. I dont like the idea of my quaint home mountain being taken over by a multinational conglomerate that charges 100+ for a day pass. Am I worrying for nothing or is my home mountain wrecked?

Vail took over a local resort in MN (Afton Alps) a few years back, and after a few years it has now become one of the best parks in MN on any given day. Season pass prices might go up, but you should embrace the situation because they're not going away any time soon.

Vail bought my home resort, Afton Alps in Minnesota. And I am incredibly glad that they did, the park has gotten way better, and they are making improvements all over the mountain all the time. As well as giving me the ability of being able to ski out west for a much better price than before because of the epic local pass. You are completely right to be worried at first because this place is your home and you don't want it to change, but the changes that are made are going to be for the better.
