people need to read... yes a local pass will exist
Peak Passes will be honored for this year to the resorts tied to the peak pass only. If you have a peak pass you can pay to upgrade to the epic local or full epic to get Stowe/okemo.
Whackson700$ for a pass I’m only gonna use for 1 mountain? Hell nah
mystery3How much did the pass cost before? I'm seriously curious, coming from Tahoe when epic and ikon came in the cost for passes mostly went down or were about the same but with multiple mountains or travel options.
WhacksonI just started going to a mountain that takes the peak pass and it only costed 400$ before and it was a pretty great deal even though I only can go to the one mountain really but now that vail owns it I’ll have to pay 700$ to go to one mountain the whole season with maybe one trip up to NY if I’m lucky cause I’m a broke boy it’s such bullshit

freeskibum82I just need Gore Mountain to do an inkind relationship with Vail to allow the epic pass to be used there as well. even if it's just 5 times. That would definitely make it worth it to me. Right now just being okemo and stowe isnt enough for me to buy epic. they need to add more mountains worth skiing. Outside of Carinthia, mount snow is very flat and not worth it to me. Give me somethign like Gore and Whiteface for 5 times each and i'd pony up the money for an epic and use it for trips out west as well. Its a solid deal.
theabortionatorGore might as well. Management are already shit cunts. Great mtn though. Park would probably get better. I pretty much just stay at top when riding there. I rode a day early season 3 years ago and opening day like 5 years ago. Otherwise havent ridden jore in 7+ or had a pass since 09-10.
Maybe vail will bring back the gully

skithemidwestttYep. We have two. One outside of St. Louis and the other is outside of Kansas City. I ski Hidden Valley outside of STL and while the runs are straight garbage they do a good job of keeping their two terrain parks fresh and maintained. Added a pic so y'all actually believe me lol.

BigPurpleSkiSuitHow long is that open each year?
freeskibum82Gore changed their ski shop benefit as well. no more comp tickets. I stopped recommending people ski there when they would ask where is good.
PeppermillRenoWow perfect.
I've considered the Wildcat/Attitash pass vs the Epic as its a little easier to get to for me and that being on Epic would be perfect.
My only beef with Vail the Corporation is they close the hills when there is plenty of snow due to lack of day pass buyers. The consolidation is great.
theabortionatorthis lol.
Does anyone from NS ski these places?
skithemidwestttMe and one other dude do. Parks aren't actually half bad and the Jib set up is always on point. Ski area may suck but our park team has heart lol.

It's getting out of hand
PeppermillRenoMt Snow will keep more of the CUNTS from the greater NYC area away from Stowe. Thumbs up.

Brule. This will probably be the case for Hunter if anything bc it’s closest to the NYC metropolitan area out of all the new resorts acquired by Vail.
hootsquadna keep Gore out of it imo. I love how theres basically no-one there if you hit it mid week (I realize that means they aren't making oodles of money I just like my quiet mountain)
Brule.Found this out when I left for college and only went to gore while home for winter break. Even whiteface is dead during the midweek aside from the northwoods kids and college racers training there.

theabortionatorGore being quiet midweek is because theres no urban areas around. It's almost an hour from Saratoga and hour and a half from Alb.
Also place is corporate and run like shit and the park is heinous as fuck.
Great mountain in terms of terrain through.
