Salomon x pro 120? boot fitter?

I've had a really good time on my boots fitted by a boot fitter. But as technology advances...curious about if the x pro 120's 360 custom shell fit will eliminate the process of finding a boot fitter? I've heard/read others saying they fit really well from just the heat mold process but not sure if they're coming from "non-fitted" boots or they actually think it fits just as well as a boot by a boot fitter?
Just counting down the days till the season starts.

Another note that lead me to wonder is that my gf bought a pair of salomons with the 360 custom shell because got a really good deal from working as instructor. I got her to go to the same fitter that I went and get them fitted. The boot fitter basically just did the heat mold process and was finished within an hr, whereas mine took about 1.5~2hrs (I know everyones got different feet).

Nothing is meant to replace finding a boot-fitter. Heat moldable shells only give the boot-fitter one more option to pick from in the menu of customization.
Many fitters make the mistake of throwing every single boot in the oven, but not everyone needs it.
You should still see a boot-fitter to determine the right shell dimensions for your foot, to get a footbed, and to get the right amount of customization needed for your foot. It may be as simple as putting the boot in the oven, it may be even as simple as a single spot stretch or grind. One solution doesn't work for everyone.
