One ski resort

If you had to ski at one resort the rest of your life.......... Where would you choose? Similar to the thread about skiing on one pair of skis the rest of your life. Every time you wanted to go ride you had to go to this resort, where would you go?

I would choose Big Sky Montana for its many skiable acres and elevations along with their parks.

My mountain verbier, and technically the 4 valleés is one resort.
It's got a pretty decent park, but another part, thyon, has a good one aswell. The powder is hella lit, and there's so much damn skiable shit.

Not crowded my ass. The longest lift lines I've ever been in were there. Even during weekdays it's more crowded than other nearby places. Still a good mountain though

This is a timely thread as I start planning where to head this winter season.
I always try to think about where the best snowmaking and season length is (besides just good terrain and parks).
So if it is a low snow year you can still have a decent season.


I ski everyday not just powder or bluebird days, so Timberline is the most practical choice.
The terrain at T-Line is nothing to brag about, but being able to ski lift served nearly year round is unbeatable.

I’m in the same process and would like to hear more about all the mountains comparatively as I’ll see 5+ resorts this year in the wy, ut, co areas and am trying to decide between 4/5 days pnw or add a few trips to tucks and other ne favs

Would really like to hear about lodging ski in ski out , or at least w/in 6 miles of mtn

Big Boulder

-Most of the mountain is a park
-Season is short so I have more time to aimlessly browse NS
-Winters don’t get too cold and it rains a good bit (great for the local farmers)
-Close to Philadelphia for apres ski activities
-Parking lot smells like a Cypress Hill concert
-Night skiing

Stowe or Jay
-insane powder in March (6 feet in a week 2 years ago)
-sick terrain, good backcountry on both mountains
-good, creative parks
-lift lines aren't as bad as the west (fuck ikon tho)
-bigass cliffs if you know where to look
-locals are chill as fuck

ski sundown connecticut because i love the small ski hill vibe and i know alot of the workers/skiers there, short season (dec-april) but the park crew kills it and a bunch of well known skiers have came from sundeezyyy

What resorts... pnw, west east wherever....mainly interested in the west have a good bit of in bounds terrain with natural drops and freestyle skiing etc..... not parks and rails and jumps but natural drops rollers etc..... trees as well love the trees
Also nice to know what places frown on inverts , out of bounds etc..... I’m careful and respectful not to hurt anyone but idw get clipped for any reason
