Stiffness comparisons

Hey newschoolers, I’ve been looking at buying a new pair of skis but can not decide on the stiffness that I want. My favourite skis to ever ride were youth k2 2015 bad seeds that were very stiff but after riding a while were soft enough to nose butter and nollie perfectly, i mean the pop was crazy. The only downside being the tails were rock solid. I am looking for something that i can butter but will still pop me at least a foot with nollies/ollies. I have tried ARVs and liked the tail butter but never got to try the pop. Was also thinking magnus’s or wets but have never tried them so i dont know. Help me find an “urban feeling pop with good butter capabilities ski” and compare your ski stiffness’s with others in the comments

vishnus have wicked pop, but a lot of downsides if you're not the target demographic. if you don't leave the park except to hit the streets they're definitely the ski for you.

I'm currently on the liberty Helix 98s and they're stiff, but break in like you said. after 10 days or so of going hard they have a nice flex in the nose but stay stiffer in the tails, they hold up really well charging and jumping. fave skis that I've had in a hot minute.

if you're into trying something weird look at the surface outsiders. they're wicked stiff and have a fucking dumbass shape that somehow lets you actually butter and pop without sacrificing edge hold or charginess at all. they're my all time favorite skis for sure

Colorado I think. Teal Harle is one of their guys he was in the Olympics, look up max moffat too I think he's on the helixes right now

Liberty is kind of a "mid major" not a big company but also not a small local operation either. I have no idea about sales figures but I'd guess they're bigger than Icelantic but smaller than Black Crows??? They're generally well reviewed on Blister.

this is false they can go where ever you want they just chatter at high speeds which isn't too big of a deal

if you're talking about the vishnus, any ski can go anywhere, but different skis are made for different things. if you've ridden a ski that's meant to charge you will not use the vishnus for charging lol. I could take my 122 full rocker pow skis through the park but I've ridden park skis so I know I don't want to do that

honestly the only ski that's beat them in durability are the Vs from '16 or 17, before they had that delam issue. I seriously fucked up the outsiders for 3 seasons and they never delaminated or anything, only a few edge cracks after mostly park and a lot of low tide pow days, hitting rock wallrides on purpose and all that bull. I never even needed a base weld on em. flex break in was super minimal and done after like 5 days. I say they're my all time favorite skis for a lot of reasons
