Hockey skates for the hockey gaper

Friends and I wanna get into some beer league ice hockey.

I need some skates, only skated on rentals and I have no idea what to look into. Total ice hockey gaper. I want shit that'll last and take abuse, I'm about 215lbs 6'2" and wear a 28.5 ski boot.

Idk where to even start. Advice?

It’s a bender in hockey. Look at like 80-120$ ccm for fatter feet and Bauer of normal to slim.

Word thanks playa. Any tips on fit? Should they crush your shit like ski boots until they pack out? Or is a little comfort alright?

I like it tighter then ski boots but skiing I have a soft flex and keep them loose. It needs to be tight enough so you can’t roll your ankle and keeps your foot stiff but part of that needs to be from balance. Go to your local rink they probably have a pro shop and can help you better then I can on here.
