Crust_StationWindells is doing insta edits only, but a halfway recap and an end of season edit have been rumored, so keep your fingers crossed.
FredyFerlI feel like the recap edits really showed what Windells was all about. And last year's edits have a decent amount of views on Youtube. I understand the switch, but they just post way too much content for me on their IG to even care. As an old camper too, I find recap edits are a nice memory from camp, and probably the only time for campers to be in the same edit as their favorite pros
Titus69Yeah I went in 2011 and 2012 and those edits are still some of my favorite, new ones have great production but the vibe in the older ones is nostalgic, shows how sick skiing hood is, but also how fun the camp is too.
toasttbh 2011-2013 were some of the best production value, Strassman was a visionary for making windells edits. Havey and Osap crushed it with a different style, way more freeform/handheld than Strassman’s but sooo crisp, idk if anyone worked harder for those edits than Havey... Legacy dissolving with the lack of edits this summer, but they’ve got other marketing goals
Titus69Yeah true, i just think they're all good anyways, you also produced some great content for the edits (right?) Also, you aware if they're done with edits or not? My old roommate was offered a film gig there I think for this summer, but camera was stolen, and he also hates how insta edits have taken over.
toastYeah 15-17, tho in 16 Nick Broms was editor and in 17 Havey was editor, I was filming a ton those years also skiing as much as possible. Anyway yeah Windells is officially done with session edits this summer, not sure what their plan was for short-form stuff on insta but I know that is where they're focusing their marketing content.
Titus69Damn, thanks for confirming, I wonder why though because they'll just have to post to IGTV for anything over a minute, and I can only imagine how many bangers wont make the edits that could be put into a 4-5 minute YT video. Guess it's the way things are moving, I just hope ski movies/short films keep going.
hoodcrewSeems like the pro park is what’s poppin these days. Not too many skiers in Windells anymore
Chubz.it makes sense bc their audience are kids 10-18 who are glued to their phones 24/7 and probably have no idea Newschoolers exists.
JoergaSo there was a Part 1, wheres the second on Windells??
