Hi
Never owned factions before so not sure if they run long or short. I have been offered some of the above real cheap but not sure if they are gonna be too long. The skis are a 188 and I am a 5'9 175 pound good all mountain ripper type of guy.
anyone familiar type with this type of ski wanna share thoughts, thanks

At your size I'd say rip 'em. If you were 25lbs lighter I'd would be questionable.
What size are you on now?

Most of the Faction skis I've measured come in around 2 cm short when using a straight-tape pull to measure length. And at your height and weight, I don't think the 188 would be too much — it's not a particularly stiff ski and it's got a bit of rocker.
But as noted above, I think it would depend a bit on the other skis you've used in the past. If, say, you've only used skis 180 cm and shorter, then the 188 might take some getting used to. But if you've been on skis around 180-185 cm, I think you'd be fine from the get-go.

I'm 171cm, 59kg and I ski the 182s. I was also worried for them being too long, but they are perfect, for pow as well as for park.
Don't forget that they are rockered, so the effective edge difference between 182 and 188 is only a few centimeters.
I also have an old pair of 2.0s in 166 which i use only for park, but they feel way too short now...
