Mt Bachelor to build a Woodward Mt. Park!

That’s pretty nice I guess. I’m in Bend this year and will be at Bachy often. Idk if this is a personal preference thing or what but I’m hoping they don’t make the jumps as lippy as they were last season. I swear every time I hucked off of one of them it sent me Up Up. Then again I only went to Bachelor 6 times last season and 1/2 of those visits were spent in the powder on mountain not in park.

Ha ha! Yea, the Point line jumps are sendy upward! Not so long, but to the sky one can go.

IDK but I think it's going to be a cool deal.

No, but they are putting one new short lift in a new area below the Sunrise lodge, then two new short "carpets" to go up on.

"Turning to winter, the big news this season is the addition of a Woodward Mountain Park.
This is a major investment by POWDR to completely re-imagine the
beginner experience and create new ways to progress skiing and riding
skills and enhance enjoyment of our sport through innovative features
and terrain. To do this we are adding a new beginner chairlift and
extending the beginner terrain adjacent to the Sunrise Lodge below the
current Carrousel beginner area. We are also adding two new carpet lifts
to create the ultimate learning and progression zone. As part of this
expansion, there will be a new Woodward Start Park, containing features
and "zone coaches" to make the learning process more fun & engaging
and to accelerate progression to the next level.

The Woodward Start Park will operate seven days a week and
will be free as part of our increased commitment to growing the local
and regional participation in our sport.

Farther up the hill we will be increasing the fun factor by
adding a family cross course, an Adventure Zone and new features
designed to progress skills and enhance enjoyment of our natural terrain
and tree islands. I will be sharing more about Woodward Mountain Park
as the summer progresses and as this takes shape in preparation for the
2019-20 winter season.

To facilitate the anticipated growth on
that side of our mountain, we are starting the first phase of our
parking expansion, adding around 300 spaces. We will also be renovating
Sunrise Lodge for faster and more efficient rentals, tickets and food
service, as well as a much needed upgrade to the Sunrise restrooms.
Together with the addition of Cloudchaser two seasons ago, this
investment from POWDR continues the expansion of the east side of our
mountain outlined in our approved Master Development Plan."
