Replying to Ski recommendation for east coast skier with a few trips out west
Hey guys - looking for some gear recommendations for the upcoming season
I'm mainly an east coast skier, but I do at least 2 trips out west a year
I'm looking for something that will suit the east coast conditions but can handle conditions in Colorado as well
I currently own a pair of Blizzard latigos: 78mm waist, 166cm length (I'm 5 ft 4 in, 130ish pounds)
I love these skis. I can carve the groomers with ease. They take a little more effort to skid/smear, but I can do it.
The problem with these is that when the snow gets a bit deeper, they sink.
I also own a pair of Armada ARV 86s. (86mm waist, 177cm length). I got these last season at a great price. Wanted something a little more fun and playful. I'm not a park skier by any means, but I'll have fun with the little trail side hits and what not.
So mainly my skiing is done on groomers, a bit in the trees (but nothing crazy), and when I'm out west - I love the bowls and the wider trees.
I've been considering the Blizzard brahmas, the atomic 90ti's, and the blizzard rustler 9s.
What do you guys recommend? Anything not on my list?
Thanks!
