DesertStixInb4 someone says CBD
...but for real. Depending on where you live and access to it, CBD can do actual, medically legitimate, wonders for chronic back pain. You can do anything from rub topical ointment to ingesting pills and there are 0 psychoactive effects.
Mtuhockey33CBD won’t do anything for the actual problem though... all it does is mask the pain. THC would do the same thing. If he wants to just get by, CBD is great. Terrible idea for a long term solution though.
DesertStixCBD is an anti inflammatory so it would actually “do something” but I’m most definitely not suggesting sitting around and swallowing CBD pills waiting for a result. In combination with a good physical therapy routine, it can be helpful. That’s all I meant.
Mtuhockey33Correct. My mistake; I thought you were saying that’s all he needs. It’ll help but not to the extent I think he’s asking. Stretching, strengthening, conditioning and flexibility all have a role in keeping you going. Learning that the hard way now that I’m getting older haha
DesertStixTell me about it, I’m doing PT now for the knees mainly and some lower back from hockey. I wish I knew how jacked they would be when I was younger. Would have definitely taken care of them better.
You ever looked into regenerative stuff like PRP’s or amniotic tissue? My gf makes the amniotic stuff and I’m going to try it soon even though it sounds gross haha
Gypsy_SkierSo I fell in the stupidest way: just got caught up on a fr3 swap on a sticky flat box and got sent down straight to my lower back. I now have this pain that has not subsided after over 3 months. I have had an MRI and x-ray that show no sign of a fracture or anything. the pain is right in my spine and definitely not muscular, more nerve related. it really fucking sucks and is constant. anyone else dealing with constant lower back pain from park skiing? I'm 24 and was not expecting this at all :(
skeirmanCBD is total bullshit for me. Have tried an extended serious regimen of high quality CBD protocol and noticed literally zero effects. Same for topical creams. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
TheMailManAn MRI would probably show this, but it sounds like a slipped / herniated disc?
How is your back now anyway, 8 months later?
JAHnI felt my lower back pop on a cliff landing earlier this year. I was miserable for a week and then decided to try the chiropractor. Fat guy say on me and boom! I felt 90% better right away. Just gotta stretch out all of the tight muscles now.
Gypsy_SkierIt was trash until I started skiing (jumps) again in December. I had actually given up on PT but kept stretching and stopped any other sport that didn't involve just running around. I was close to 100% for a while but this confinement in NYC and lack of skiing is sending my back down a bad spiral again. Luckily pain is mostly in the morning so I blame my bed for some of it. Wear and tear through the day just doesnt feel that bad anymore. Took a solid 8 months before feeling any difference, patience is a virtue.
icedb-b-but... its from weedujana man
TheMailManLucky fella, if anything chiro just made things worse for me. It's so hit and miss.
CHU-TANG_CLANim not a doctor or kinesiologist, however ive had back problems for a long time (overshot a jump). I found the best way is to start by going to see a physiotherapist and then once you are done seeing them for a while, continue to stretch and work out your core and back muscles. i do at least one day of back and core workouts and stretches a week and then do at least one exercise and stretch every other time I work out as a top up to any other workout days.
Good luck man. it will take time but you will get better
ConesForBreakfastAnyone got a good diagram of all the muscles of your back?
TnskiWhat are you helpless it took one second to find this
1NF1N1T3My body’s fucked. At the end of the day though pain is pain. And I’m only getting older, you just gotta get used to it (unless it’s something like a sprained ankle etc)
