Sounds like you just need a properly fitting boot shell, not sure custom liners would do much

I'm kidding, I have the same basic issue, at least I have a low volume ankle and heel.

A good bootfitter should be able to work with your issues though.

Surefoot is absolutely a game changer and is definitely worth the money. Your boots are the most important part of your equipment, dont skimp on them.

I had heat molded full tilt pro liners, but they never actually secured around my leg fully. I always have a large gap in between my shin and the tongue which is the worst thing ever as y’all prolly know

Have you really gone down to a 92 last shell, and more importantly what shells have you ridden in/tried on? Unless you’re literally a skeleton odds are you haven’t gone to a proper boot fitter cause there are shells that work for everyone, some shops just may be trying to sell you their 98+ last shells.

It's likely not an issue with your leg and had more to do with the shape of your foot/arch and how your foot and ankle move(or don't move). See a boot fitter who will look at your foot and not just get you in size x of a boot. I have no experience with surefoot so I can't speak to that.

At the shop I worked at our techs could manipulate the boot or get you a footbed for no more than $50-75 on top of the cost of the boot. Sometimes the work could be free depending on what was needed. I'd honestly recommend buying from a reputable shop because most will have reasonable pricing so long as you purchased the boot from them. Some will even further adjust the boot after you ski on it and notice any areas of concern.
