Anybody want to take a shot at explaining how it works in detail?
Yes, I’ve read their website back to back several times, and I’m still confused.

LukeTheWaffleI compete in Junior Freerider tour in Europe.
Yo go do your run and you get judged on control, technique , air and style, flow, and overall impression or something like that. You get a score and then you chill out
AbiHRight right, but the seeding list and point system and that jazz....
side note, saw you were going to NZ, if you’re near Nelson we should shred.... should be at the remarkables comp though if anything
JibbaTheHutt1* competitions are purely first come first served basis in terms of entry, doesn't matter if you have 0 points of 7000 points
2*- 4* are based on your overall ranking in the fwq table. That is, how many points you have accumulated from previous competitions. for instance, if in the last 12 months i have earned 800 pts from various competitions, and my buddy has earned 600 points, even if he registered for a 2* comp before me, i take priority because i have more points. If not all the spots have been filled by ranked athletes (those with points) then spots will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

dgravesPretty sure 2* is first come, first serve. That is if you register within the first couple hours you will get it. 4* is the system you described above.
All in all expensive but a fun way to ski new resorts!!
LukeTheWaffleSkiing with family so I can't sorry, but honestly I have no clue about the seeding lists and shit but it doesn't matter. Just show up and put down a run

benharrington_There is nothing near nelson. Closest skiing is canterbury, the clubfeilds there such as Mt olympus and craigieburn. Then Mt hutt is there, then 5 hours south is Wanaka where we have TC and Cardies, then another hour down is queenstown with remarkables.
AbiHRainbow ski area is south of Nelson, how far are the clubbies?
TRVP_ANGELCurious as to why you picked Nelson NZ when you can live in wanaka and have access to sick big mtn features as well as freestyle park
