Whitewater Kayaking

Hey NS,

I am getting into whitewater kayaking and wanted to start a thread for others who are into this sport too. I have noticed the sports is very very niche and everyone seems to be very helpful so far. Any tips? Pointers? Good stories? What boat/ gear are you rocking?

I don't do this but obviously going in a group is good. There's plenty of YouTube videos of people getting sucked under rocks and almost dying and what not

I'd like to get into it but never have. Have friends that are big into it but never done it. Mostly cause they;re loose friends and not like best friends. I kind do my own thing and them as well. I'm sure if I spend a summer in the states they'd be down t take me through some stuff, I just gotta commit and get me a boat.
