MilzYou can skateboard pretty much anywhere in the world. For that reason alone, I don't think its possible for skiing to reach that level of impact.
SuckleBrickI mean I am starting to see kids who don't ski at school wear some armada stuff
DIRTYBUBBLEThis is more of a question of fashion rather than skiing or skating. Fashion has been ripping off skating for roughly the past decade (Supreme). Who knows what they’ll flock to next.
willysworldSkateboarding has the movie grind and lords of dog town.. we have Aspen Extreme and Hog Dog.. clearly we win 🤪

lipon_blind2It would be sick if there was some really good Hollywood movie about some freestyle skiing dude trying to make Olympics or something like that. It would change public perception of skiing and potentially inspire people to try it.
OregonDeadPeople were skiing for about 2000 years before the invention of the wheel. Skiing has had way more influence.
SegsxiIMO skiing could focus more on making an impact on science, technology, engineering and math rather than society and culture as a whole. In the past skiing and ski technology has benefited STEM, especially for those living in colder climates, but also those living near large bodies of water. In the future I feel like the tech could improve and we can see the concept of ski to impact STEM better
SnickleFrizskating linked with pop culture from the time of its take off, and it is an accepted form of dissidence.
