The Kindest Act You've Seen or Experienced on the Hill

What are the kindest things a random shredder has done for you or others on the hill?
During a trip to Utah this January an Alta lifty was taking his last run down and saw me aimlessly digging for my lost GoPro and brought a metal detector up for three straight days and looked for it after I had gone back to Bozeman.
Or the week before that when a random lady on the bus at Schweitzer gave me and 3 friends a ride home after the bus broke down miles from our car in her tiny electric car with all our gear. Our skis literally touched both the front and back window.

A buddy had a binding/ski issue on an East Coast "powder day" and a random guy we were skiing grabbed an extra pair of skis from his truck and set him up. Big ups.
In the spirit of karma, I met a rando on the lift who had some decent skills, but also taken minimal lessons. I gave him a two hour private lesson and saw him crushing it about a month later. Towards the end of the season he found me on facebook and sent me a pic of the setup he'd ordered (I planted a seed in his brain that his setup would not cut the mustard if he was trying to improve as much as he wanted) and that I got him fully addicted to skiing. Also big ups.

One time there was a little kid walking around the lodge crying a little bit, I asked him what was up and he couldn’t find his dad. I sat with him for a few minutes and the dad eventually walked by looking for him

5 years ago and this thread still makes me smile. Although my ski style and area has change, kind people remain. This year’s highlight was a random dude we met at the gas station fueling up sleds alone who asked to ride with the crew. He ended up digging some of the homies sleds out of some of the worst stucks I’ve ever seen and kept our deepest day of the year rolling until well past sunset!

I really enjoyed skiing around this season and helping little kids and beginners click-back into their skis when snow would cake onto their boots. I kept a wax scraper in my patrol vest all season just for that. Plus I had a little rubber White Rabbit that was on my radio antenna that kids and parents loved.

Broke my leg and this stranger found me at bottom of the landing. He laid on the ground propping up my leg to ease the pain until ski patrol got there. He then took my cell number and cleaned/returned my rental car while I was at hospital (it otherwise would have been late and towed). He also bought me food without me asking and delivered it to the hospital. Then to top it all off he wheeled me down to his car and drove me to the airport (like 3hr drive). We kept it in touch, he's a gradian angel. There are some really good people out there.
