theabortionatorI broke my pride once. Doctor said it was one of the worst he'd ever seen. Recommended therapy and self help books, but told me there was little chance I'd ever be the same. Even a few beers in, blasting hip hop bangers, I still feel a bit lost in this world.
JoeF2661Damn, keeping you and your pride in my bedtime prayers.
KendoDrayGot super barred out and drunk and went down on some random kids snowboard
Pigeon.based on ur experience i do not think i will be taking bars and hitting the slopes
KendoDrayGot super barred out and drunk and went down on some random kids snowboard (ski boots still on) on my stomach super man style down a double black and hit a snow making machine going 40 mph. Had to be airlifted off the mountain and ended up rupturing my adrenal gland causing a hematoma the size of my entire stomach which turned it straight black. In a wheel chair for 6 months and sparked a savage opioid addiction for the next 4 years. I killed it on that one.
SuckleBrickgetting bad head on the chair lift
TheMailManCaught my tips last year after under-rotating a backie into what I thought was deep powder, but was maybe only 20cm max and then ice underneath.
My only initial symptoms were a nasty nosebleed and a sore neck and shoulders, whiplash basically. Nothing too bad.
Fast-forward 18 months, my neck and shoulders still ache and my upper muscles are super tight, I feel this pretty much 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and have done since the accident.
I've tried physio & chiropracticy, nothing has solved it. I feel like I have to accept I've now got chronic whiplash and will probs have to live with this for the rest of my life. I'm 26 but every morning when I get out of bed I feel like I'm 50 as I can barely move my upper body. I probably stretch 10x a day to try and release the tension.
Thankfully it hasn't stopped me skiing or biking, or any sports for example, It's not exactly a life changing injury like some of the above, but the fact that it's constantly there, even ask I type this message, really gets me down sometimes.
ColingarnesCan take years to recover if nerves were involved dont get your head down. I messed my neck up and thought I was done forever Fter 1 year of constant pain with certain extortion. 4 years later I have no problems.
