whats your guitar setup?

My rig - 2017 Ibanez RGA42fm with terrible FLAT frets, SD invader in the bridge.
2018 Jackson Dinky MIM with a floyd rose 1000, SD JB/59 set of pickups.

Amps:
Marshall Code 50
Fender Champion 20

Pedals:
Ibanez TS9 tube screamer
Dunlop Cry baby

Friend of mine just hooked me up with a Mexican fender strat and fender 15g amp for free, except I don’t know how to play. Looking for some advice here peeps, help me out!!

Learn the pentatonic and a little music theory before you start typing songs off YouTube.

Yeah definitely, I’m trying to get the muscle memory, and notes memorized before I jump into songs. I’ll start practicing the pentatonic thanks homie!

Yeah no problem, if you have a little grasp of that stuff it makes it so you can play along with other people. Whereas if you just have songs and solos memorized it is really hard to fit in with other musicians. I am by no means good at the guitar, but me n tha bois have a lot of fun picking along together cuz we can all kinda carry a tune and stay in key and on time.

Pentatonic is a big one to learn, basically anything fast i can play involves the pentatonic
