Just wanted to poll this thread to see how red/blue pilled everyone here was. Back in my stossel days i made a no scope headshot of the kelly sildaru promo train with the following facts.
The thread got deleted because “muh me too” and sildarus girl power sponsors were probably shitting blood in anger.
Anyways, the point of the thread was to explain that if you want to measure a skiers relative strength fairly you need to include the height and weight of the skier in your calculations. Because when you are young ryan sheckler or young sean petit and youre 5 feet tall and you weight 90 pounds, its very easy to be much stronger pound for pound than a 6 foot 210 pound meat popsicle like hatveit or mason Aguirre. If you need full breakdown i will deliver, but basically all you need to know is that when you grow from 5 foot 90 pounds to 6 foot 210 your strength increases with the muscle cross sectional area, which goes up with the square of your growing rate, and your weight (dependent on volume) goes up with the cube of your growing rate.
So for someone like hatveit or mason aguirre or pk Hunder to absorb a huge impact is much more impressive than an 80 pound chihuahua handling the same impact speed.
If you ever wonder why you were much better at skating when you were young or why you could eat shit massively without hurting yourself.... this is why.
Anyway.
