Trainspotting is my favorite movie of all-time.

I haven't seen any current movies but I can come up with a pretty good list of eclectic films up until about 2005-2010.

This is an excellent and very much under-rated film. For some reason it reminds my of Mulholland Drive which is also excellent along with everything else David Lynch ever touched.
