runforlove2018Anyone relate? I'm not talking about a run down crack house, but rather a nice old home that just happens to be in the hood as a lot of big cities have. They're just so damn cheap and many are massive, obviously priced to the crime rate.

Worth it? Or is it a ploy to increase the median income of the neighborhood and push the poverty elsewhere?

This seems to be the hipster trend these days and I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are.

You know what? You're right. It is a pretty iconic yet productive duo.

Have you ever been into one of these homes before remodeling? They smell like death. They're filthy. There's no pipes because the junkies ripped all the copper out of the walls. The cabinets are barely hanging onto the walls. There's shit in dry toilets and all the drains are plugged. Roaches are rampant. Grass is jungle high. They're destroyed on the inside and outside. Many get demolished by the city. People only live in them because they HAVE to because they're poor and have nowhere else.
