Corvus

I had this dilemma, and sorted it out by skiing both skis back to back in a demo day.

Corvus - just a tad lighter, but not significantly. More stable at higher speeds, and a bit more damp through variable snow. Nice supportive tails for jumps, and a really solid edge hold. They are a bit more hard work than the Atris, and are less forgiving. I did love how easy they were to pivot when laid flat.

Atris - felt so intuitive and easy from the first turn. They are just a really solid ski that does everything well. I'd say the Corvus has maybe 10-15% more capability at speed and through variable, but the Atris is about 30% more easy to ski. I've got a pair of Atris arriving next week, but may still end up getting some Corvus too.

Honestly, both skis will work for what you're suggesting. If you are looking to go pretty hard and don't mind a somewhat demanding ski, go Corvus. If you want something a bit more easy going but still plenty capable, get the Atris.

I demoed a heap of skis, and Black Crows big mountain skis were all pretty awesome. Also, don't be put off by the full rocker - I found the Corvus to be easier and more intuitive than things like the Raven/Hoji.

Thx they both sound ideal but for different reasons, I want a ski solely for charging and drops and another solely for say soft fun freeriding ,and will have both one day but very soon I need a powder ski that’s close to my style and ability so I can learn and grow in pow and perform as well as possible all around, probably brainstorm for a while then pull d trigger , I’m really excited to try a full rockered ski , no demo days anytime I’ve been somewhere but when there is I’m def signing up
I’ve found several pair of used skis for sale almost steal with demo bindings , idk anything about demo bindings tho

Demo bindings are fine for the most part. The attack 13 demos in particular don't carry a huge weight penalty or any increase in stack height unless they're the AT model. What boots are you wearing?

If you want to hit park jumps don’t but either. They aren’t designed for it. If you had to buy one, the Atris would be better. They are very similar and feel that way on snow despite the full camber profile of the Corvus. The atris is slightly more playful due to the rocker in the tail. It is a popular ski with the black crows team as an all mountain freeride/style ski. The corvus is bombproof and will hold up in almost any condition

SavageBiffSo I’ve never skid a ski without camber , never skied real pow either , dont know what to expect from a flat or full rocker ski
I need something that is basically a single quiver for west coast as I can only add one pair of west coast skis to my quiver this year , I will mainly be resort groomers and resort off trail , glades , park jumps no rails , cliffs def cliffs , maybe some backcountry so the ski should b capable but lightweight is no concern , prefer rockered tips and tails , chargey w/o overworking me at medium speeds as surfy and skiddy as possible w/o trading for a soft flex , also prefer a mount point around -6, looking in the 102/112 ww

What skis have you skied in the past? Curious since the Corvus is a very directional ski with a flat tail, so it'd definitely fit what you're looking for if you ski with a forward stance (driving your shovels) and don't need to ski switch / need a bunch of tail rocker. But if you ski more centered (not pressuring the front of your boots / shovels much), like to ski switch, etc., there are many better options. If you want a really surfy ski that's still stable but with a twinned tail and that'll feel better in the air, I'd recommend checking out the Moment Meridian 107.

Kinda imagine if the chronics and stormriders mixed , like metal chronics with progressive tip and tail rocker ....
